having an u/s this morning, (updated)

I had a teeny bit of spotting but that means I have to have Rhogam, as I have a negative blood type. When I called my MW office they said they wanted to do an u/s just to make sure the pregnancy is in the uterus. If you could just send some good vibes my way around 11:30 EST that would be great. I'm only 6w today so it's unlikely that I'll see a heartbeat yet, but I need something to put my mind at ease

Update: Everything looked good! Baby is measuring right on rack at 6w! Thanks for your support everyone!

So glad it went well! Is it normal to need the rhogam shot for spotting? I'm also negative and had the shots during my last pregnancy. I've had a tiny bit of spotting today and am wondering if I need to call my doctor now. Not that I am eager to have a giant shot in my butt...

I was surprised by the recommendation but really, Rhogam is harmless, I think my MW is just being super cautious
