So, let me begin this with - I am a total wimp with pain. And, yes I have had a C section and still think this was rough.
I barely slept last night thinking about today. I was nervous, anxious and definitely excited to take these next steps towards conceiving #2.
I took my Aleve an hour before as I was told. My BP was super high - 156/110 and rechecked after a calming chat with my wonderful RE. He explained the procedure to me again, had me sign some consents and went over my after instructions. Not only did he have his nurses run a urine HCG on me minutes prior, but he double and triple checked my bloodwork HCG from 6 days ago. He explained I would feel cramping as he inserted the catheter - I did! He explained I would feel burning when he pushed the dye - I most certainly did! It probably only lasted about 60 seconds, but went in slow motion and I couldn't wait for it to be over. He confirmed my tubes were clear! YEAH! And he may have seen a polyp but didn't mention it being a problem. He said all was good and we can get back to sex tomorrow after my DH's SA tomorrow morning. The RE did give me a Rx for Metformin XR to get started on because my bloodwork and Ultrasound confirmed PCOS.
I did feel some cramping and oozing (gross, sorry) while sitting in our awful DC traffic. I haven't taken anything else today nor have I had too much pain since. I'm eager to have DH checked out and have our follow up consult with RE Feb 6th.
