My 13 month old is still boobin' all day. All night. Hoping some other moms on here are also still breastfeeding and we can chat about the fun of breastfeeding while pregnant, potential weaning, and tandem nursing.
I'm still nursing my 2 year old. She doesn't nurse that much usually, but is sick and asking to nurse a LOT right now. Please reassure me this is okay .
Still nursing my 13 month old. Just before bed. Has anyone else experienced pain with breastfeeding since getting pregnant? I think it will lead us to fully weaning soon. He rarely falls asleep while eating anymore and seems less interested lately. I just want to know when it's the last time I nurse him. I told my husband that this morning and promptly broke into tears:(

If he's not interested, and you want to wean, and you want to know it's the last time, I think I would set a date, say his 14 month birthday, or New Year's Eve, then just be done cold turkey.

I think that's a solid plan. I'm just surprised by my emotional reaction to the process. I have found that he responds to well to redirection during the day (i.e. offering a cup of milk when he pulls on my shirt) so I'm optimistic he will be just finewith cold turkey. Thanks for the suggestion!

I get emotional thinking about it too, even though 95% of the time I feel so ready to be done. DD has different ideas though, she is sooo attached to nursing. I'm glad you think he will adjust just fine!
Nursing my 11 month old girl here. I have a lot of frozen milk, so we do anywhere from 4 to 12 oz of that a day depending on whether I'm working or not and nurse 3 or 4 times.
My OB-GYN wants me to stop - she said it's completely gut feeling and nothing medical to back it up, but common sense says you'd need to have damn good eating habits to sustain the lives of three humans. Considering the nausea means I eat bagels, ginger ale and popcorn all day for the last 3 days, and I've always sucked at drinking water in general, I can't say she's wrong.
We'll introduce some cow's milk into her bottles soon and transition from there, but I don't see myself giving up nursing completely, even if it's just 1x a day.
I'm a little concerned about sustaining three people as well. Eating for 3 is hard. My daughter is a straight-from-the-boob gal. Won't take a bottle. I have no method of getting cows milk into her. She will only drink water.

Some pain here. But not horrible. Our biggest issue is the 2 MOTN wakings.
