So I just bought a giant stack of books to give to all the nicu families (35 babies currently!). I want to include some sort of note or message but I'm not sure what to write. I was thinking something simple like "stay strong" but I don't know. Any ideas? Especially moms of micro preemies or babies that has health issues - ideas on what might be uplifting?

DD was 1 pound 14 ounces, so not quite a micro preemie, about 60 grams too big. Almost all of these quotes make me cry in a good way. This is such a cool thing you are doing.
Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.
Though I be but little, I be fierce. (I bought a plaque with this written on it for my daughter's 1 week birthday. Love this quote.)
From small beginnings come great things.
Big journeys start with small steps.
My feet are very small and the way is hard, but I do not walk alone.
You are braver than you think and stronger than you seem.
There is no foot too small that it can't leave an imprint on this world.
God doesn't choose just anyone to witness a miracle.
Being a Preemie parent means getting to see one of God's creatures in the midst of its creation.
Edit to add: we got a welcome gift bag from the volunteer parent group. It's sponsored by a nicu grad parent and they write a letter to be included. You could type something up and tape it in the cover or something if you didn't want to hand write them all.

I'm a dirty lurker here, but I just wanted to add that it might be better to go a little more generic. Usually not all of the babies are preemies, but almost all of the NICU parent resources we found were geared to preemies, and not term babies with health problems. It was pretty frustrating at times.
I was actually lurking to see if there were any NICU threads that included term babies too. We're home now, but I was curious and I saw this and wanted to throw that out there.

There's a nicu grad check in a couple threads down, if you wanted to do that. Please feel welcome to join us. Yay for being home!
