TTMA Spotting *Update #2 in OP- Time for me to say goodbye.*

Just started spotting, but it's brown and no cramping.

Part of me is kicking myself for getting my hopes up this early, and part of me is trying to convince myself it could be nothing.

Just left a voicemail with my doctor. No past problems, will they probably tell me just to wait and see what happen?

*Update:  Never got the second beta back, but I started bleeding a few hours ago. I'm so glad I decided to jump in and participate this time around. I was only here a few days but all of your support meant so much to me!

Brown is old blood. I've had some, too, but I'm chalking it up to implantation or something.

Calling the doctor is fine. If they're not worried, I wouldn't be worried. :)

Thanks Rama,the nurse reminded me it could be from intercourse a few days ago. She's going to talk to the doctor and call me back.

I'll feel silly if it's nothing, but of course I'm comparing everything to my first pregnancy and I didn't spot at all then.

Probably fine. I have a SCH and have had gushes of red bleeding and the baby is fine. I currently have brown spotting. Like Rama said brown means it's old blood, which generally isn't anything to worry about.

Don't feel silly. Letting your doctor know about bleeding is definitely the right thing to do.

As others have said, brown is old blood, which tends to be a good sign. You did the right thing by letting your doctor know. Spotting is more common in early pregnancy than one would think. Try to stay away from Google and try to take it easy! (easier said than done, I know)

You probably ticked off your cervix. Everything from sex to constipation can do that. Definitely worth mentioning to your dr, but probably nothing to worry about

I had red and brown spotting during week 4 with DD2 and everything was fine. I hope everything is ok, but like others have said, brown means old blood which is good. Hope your doctor can give you peace of mind!

And they had me rush in to get blood work to check hcg before they close. Glad I'll know but I'll be nervous waiting.

FX! It's good your getting checked, hopefully it's just "terrifying but unimportant" spotting. Still scary.

I thought I'd have to wait until morning, but they updated my chart online. I wasn't temping, but at the very least I am 19dpo (H was out of town for a trip, so that would be hitting 0-4). My hcg level was only 38.

I don't have really high hopes for that number...

It's all about the doubling, not about a single number.  At 15DPO, my beta was 24.  At 18DPO, 64.  Our betas are low and it's okay to be worried, but it doesn't mean that you're out. 

*hugs*  I hope you get some reassurance soon.  When are you going in for a repeat beta?

This is rough, hang in there. My OB said to "It ain't over until it's over." Beta ranges are all over the map- so try and not freak out.

I wish it was a higher number for your peace of mind, but as others have said, the rise is what counts. And don't read too much into the timing. DS1 was a O-5 baby and this one appears to be O-3.
I am crossing all the things for an awesome number on Friday. Hopefully work and TCF can distract you in the meantime
