Morning ladies! Have fun with the parties @elf828 & carissalynp ! Feel better soon bookshelves
Today I'm taking my niece shopping for her winter formal dress! I'm excited, I love shopping for dresses.
And then while LO naps I will be packing. And no, we haven't found a place to move nor do I know when we will be moving. But I know me, and if I have any plans to move within the next six months I need to start getting ready now or things will be thrown in trash bags and moved that way. So yeah, lots of fun today

@joybaby5 definitely option 1!
bookshelves ugh that's so awful and so disappointing! I'm so sorry! Are you rescheduling?
Today is party day for us. DH and I fighting, ugh. Not how I wanted to be for LOs first birthday party. He was on food duty and was making pulled pork last night for today. I was out At the in laws (party is being held there) all night decorating and setting up.
I came home and taste dhs pulled pork sauce and its gross. I was expecting a simple bbq sauce that's normally on a pulled pork, he tried a new recipe that tastes like spicy mustard. Now he's all upset and offended that I don't like it and I'm stressed people will find it too spicy, so he's mad at me.
Ugh. Why try a new recipe for a party of 30 people!!

My Saturday is off to a grand start. DH rolled out of bed at 9 (after laying there an hour). We showered & got to cracker barrel at 10:30... finding an hour & a half wait time (which I warned him of before we left the house). So we left and cue an epic fight about how I have lived in Houston almost 20 years & I don't know where to go eat breatfast.... at 10:30 on a Saturday with no wait time.
Fseriously. We fought the whole way home & now he's upstairs pouting on hunger strike. I made myself food. FFS if he had rolled his ass out if bed when he woke up, this wouldnt have happened. I'm about to go drop A on him and start the chores we need to do, since none of the 8 or so things I suggested to do today were viable for one reason or another.
But I can NEVER think of anything to do. And I don't know of a super secret breakfast spot with no wait. Newsflash, we've been together 4 years. There's nothing I know about that I haven't shared at this point.
She also told us that W should have 5-6 words by her next appt at 15 months. Between that, her hatred of sippie cups, utensils, and bed sharing...I better get busy!
JK though. I figure it'll all work itself out the way it's supposed to. Daycare will help with sippies, words will come as they come, and she'll be eating with a fork before she goes to high school.
We're having cake vodka, baileys, and kahlua at LOs party. Because that's how mommy deals with emotions.
That sounds delicious and I'm super jealous of all the people doing the boozy hot chocolate bar too, especially since it's basically the arctic here today.

OMG. Now I'm freaking out because LO has ZERO words. He does a lot of dadadada but doesn't really know that dada is the guy who gives him a bath at night, you know?
Okay, LO. Enjoy your last lunch of innocence. Boot camp starts when you're done.

We had water our second babies class this morning. LO loved it! He doesn't get to be around other babies often. Sometimes I take him to story time at the library.. but I usually can't swing it with work.
I am in complete denial that we are getting more snow tomorrow into Monday. DH is supposed to fly to Vegas Monday morning. We just heard a rumor that they may make him fly out tomorrow afternoon. This means he won't be home for our superbowl party. Actually, half of our guests are supposed to be going to Vegas so our party might just fall apart. I love that our love tits say "____ throws glitter" I think shellbell should lovetit ALL the posts today.

Are you looking forward to the party or are you just as happy to put on your pjs and eat junk food alone?

LOL. W doesn't have any real words that she says with any consistency, or that really MEAN anything. I don't think. Once in awhile she'll throw out a "mama" at the right time (like heading toward me), and the other day I swore she said "Eeeemo" when holding her Elmo. My H swears she said "Boston" last week. Ooook H.
But if you asked me if she's said her first word, I'd say no.

Haha! My friend just asked yesterday if there was a dress code for the party. My response was, "yoga pants are acceptable and appreciated". I would rather have our husbands home, have good company and let the kids run around like monsters. There will be plenty of junk food for all!!

I *think* R is saying kitty and hi. He says mama, mom, and other variations, but I don't think he associates meaning with them. Kitty, though, that started yesterday while he was staring down our cat on the stairs. OOOH, maybe it's actually, "titty!"
I wouldn't be surprised if you reported that his first word was nipple. We talk about things that are important to us, right?
And our heat is out. I tried all of the tricks the nice guy on the phone told me about last weekend but nothing worked. A technician is on his way to my house. Why isn't DH home to deal with this?? Maybe I just need to keep baking so that the oven will keep my kitchen warm.
This is what I did last year when my heat went out three times. It was glorious/awful.

Does anyone have any egg-free dessert ideas? My friend's son is allergic to eggs. I have a bunch of egg free things for him to eat tomorrow but not dessert. I was thinking of pudding pie but I did that last time he was here.
You guys! I am cleaning out my dresser. I've reorganized five of the six drawers so far, purged things I don't use or wear anymore (including 25 bras from my old size *sob*) I'm so proud of myself. E is getting in the way of getting the last drawer done though. He keeps trying to climb in and throws everything out of the drawer.
