babyzebra thanks for asking!! I'm feeling much better! I'm only vomiting 2/3 times a day and it's usually right in the morning. After that I can manage with eating frequently and zofran. I'm hoping the next days and weeks only bring more relief!
That's great! It must be such a relief to be feeling a little better. I hope you continue to improve

Yo Flair Underwood, I just wrapped the present your PSA found for MH on Zulily! I got the red mixer. It's so snazzy. We've wanted one for years, I'm pumped. Too bad he doesn't get it for cookies this year!

frecklesnbrains your cookies make me so jealous my cookie press is broken.
I made three lasagnes today. My mom has been really unwell but wanting lasagne, and asked if I could make her some. I decided to make her and my dad one to have this weekend, one to freeze and one for us for supper too. I hope to do baking in the next couple of days - need to get more ingredients first.
I need to finish Christmas shopping and wrap everything still. I might tackle some wrapping tomorrow
We're taking DD sledding today, she got a sled from my parents for Christmas (they said we could give it early since we got a ton of snow this week) and has been toting it around the living room so I'm sure she'll love it
How did it go? So jealous you have enough snow for that! I feel weird being in Canada and still no snow. They're calling for 50 degrees Christmas Eve.

It was so fun! Perks of living near the mountains. The snow was probably 2 feet deep. She had a blast sledding and loved playing in the snow

My ILs just ruined my perfect Christmas I had planned. I was super excited for it to just be DH, DS, and I at home once DH got off work. Tonight my ILs called and said they are spending the day with DS and myself while DH is at work because it's killing them that we can't be with them for the holiday. All I wanted was a nice quiet Christmas at home with my little family of 3, it's our last and only Christmas that we were going to get without tons of hustle and bustle and go see everyone. Now I have to entertain my ILs who bitch and complain and get wasted whenever they come to visit.

SAY NO! You can! It's seriously an option, I know it didn't feel like it, but it is! They don't have the right to invite themselves over.
You: We have plans, but we look forward to seeing you (date). ILs: You: I'm afraid we just can't. We are so looking forward to blah though! ILs: ((( You: (repeat as necessary)
Better yet-- DH's family, DH's responsibility. Have him do it.
We went to FOUR Christmas parties last night! It was exhausting. Holiday parties aren't nearly as fun when you're sober and fighting pregnancy fatigue. Two parties were in a neighboring state (about an hour away), and two were close to home. I was the designated driver for most of the night. I knew about three of the parties in advance, but DH sprung the fourth one on me yesterday in the car Two parties were social stops with friends, while the other two were for DH's business contacts. Since he works for himself, it's important for him to attend events thrown by his clients. For most people it was their first time learning of my pregnancy, so I fielded a lot of questions throughout the night. Never again! Henceforth there is a 2 party per night limit!

I wish it was that easy but they went through DH not me and told him and of course he never says no to his parents. Plus my parents are visiting this weekend and I didn't want to cause a huge fight in front of them.
lakecountrygal I'm so sorry. I hate that people do that and I'm sorry your DH didn't give you a say. Are you able to set time constraints? Like give a time window when they can show up and leave? You're pregnant and need rest and your DS doesn't need to get overexcited and over stimulated.
DS and I went and got Thai food yesterday and it was delicious! We have leftovers for today too! Today I plan to wrap Christmas presents, go grocery shopping, laundry, and visit for a little while with my parents.
bgkc4 that sounds exhausting just reading about it! Toooo many parties!
lakecountrygal I'm sorry, that sucks. I second the idea to make them bring food. I hate how Christmas plans are always getting jacked up last minute by other people. It's like every year!
babyzebra now I *Need* Thai food for breakfast! Sounds delicious!
I got to see my BFF yesterday & tell her and her whole family that were expecting. Everyone was great. Her family is like DH and my second (& more fun) family, we met through them, we actually first hooked up at one of her bday parties, and they are wonderful people who we aspire to be like. It's great to have that kind of support and love. It was cute how immediately she had name ideas, if it was someone else it might have been annoying but since it was her I'm noting the names for the short list.

bgkc4 I'm with you on holiday parties being way less fun when pregnant and sober. Weddings too - I've been to two of those in the past month. I want my wine and eggnog *sigh*

So I went to a wedding last night, my first sober wedding, and I was dreading it. I ended up having a blast. Baby went on a roller coaster ride as I danced all night. MH sneaked me 1/4 of a glass of champagne and it was DELIGHTFUL. He ended up getting a little drunk and was the cutest during the father/daughter dance. He leaned over and said, "Can I tell you a secret? I have always wanted a girl so one day I can do that." Cue the waterworks from me.

We had a good time visiting family last night and are still here. My DS was the only grandkid that could make it so he had 7 adults with all the attention on him-he was so hyper and excited, even at 9pm he was running around the house giggling. We slept in a bit this morning, are about to go to church where my in laws work, then will head home and get ready for this crazy week then, next Sunday we fly out for a week in Philadelphia then Virginia with my family!!

I'm really really ready for my ms to go away. Puked again this morning. Bleh
I feel you on the MS. I am 16 weeks tomorrow and the nausea is still present. I threw up Friday and yesterday morning. At least it is not daily now, but I wanna choke out those people that said that it went away at 12 weeks for getting my hopes up!!! lol

Andrea, glad you had an enjoyable wedding, that's such a sweet thing for your DH to say!
I also had about half a glass of champagne last night to celebrate my job offer which is now finalized, it was really nice, the champagne and just to feel a hint of normalcy.
There is a 60-80% chance of rain from now until the end of the day, which is making it annoying to plan anything to do. I'm at a loss for dinner ideas, trying not to over do it with all the food coming up later this week but then nothing else sounds really great.
