I am working today. Tonight I have to make my DD1'S birthday cake (chocolate chip sour cream cake) and wrap one more gift while she's out with my sisters having their annual "Auntie day" for her bday. Then they are having a "sleep over" in the basement since she might get scared/worried at my sister's place. She's only 3.
It was a long night but I think LO's fever finally broke this am. The dr said she was fine other than the fever yesterday but gave me a requisition for a chest X-ray on Sunday if needed.
Today we are doing Xmas with my family. We'll hang out then go out to dinner. Now that my parents take off to Florida every year for 5 months it's just me and my sisters left to celebrate.
2mrsks (mrs&mrsk) poor baby, I hope it's not bothering him too much and it gets better soon!
Today is a mess. A miscommunication between DH and I equated to not sitter set up for V. And so I'm working from home, but may go in to work if my mom picks him up.
Also my Christmas spirit is so lacking this year. I want to be excited but I'm too stressed out and bad moody. I really thought my dad would try to come out for the holiday, but last time he called he didn't even mention trying to come out, he just talked about work. I think I'm going to tell him that he is coming for V's first birthday, and if he doesn't make it then we are done. I'm tired of his messed up priorities.

Trying to push DS's bedtime and wake up to better accommodate our vacation. Joke's on us since he's decided to go to bed earlier and get up earlier instead.

I'm snuggling a sleeping baby in the recliner while DH is making chili. It's finally decided to get almost cold enough for it to be the end of December here. I think the warm temps are adding to my lack of Christmas spirit. I'm also in denial that it's is already Christmas and that in just over a month I'm going to have a one year old.
MIL is picking up S after she gets off work in a bit and then I'm going to try my hand at making some Christmas candy. DH usually makes it but with his new work schedule he hasn't had much time to get it done. Fx I don't ruin it. My best friend just flew home to FL from Germany for the holidays. The Christmas candy we make is her favorite, so I'm trying to get it done and mailed to her ASAP. Other than that there's nothing much going on here this weekend.

Trapped under a sick and sleeping baby.
He was not a fan of dinner. Can't say I blame him. Jarred slime for babies does not seem very appetizing. We found some others for older babies that hopefully have more texture. At least he's been enjoying breakfast (fruit) and lunch since we go out for that.
2mrsks (mrs&mrsk) I hope he's in good spirits and it'll pass soon. ETA: we've had a few virus related rashes and they look scary but they seem to clear up pretty quickly. Hopefully that's the case for him.
kartish sorry about your dad That sounds difficult.
I'm sorry for the lack of Christmas spirit and sick babies/parents. I'll come christmas carol at your door

2mrsks (mrs&mrsk) I hope LO feels better. DS had a similar viral rash a few months ago and the doctor said as long as he didn't have a fever I could take him out and send him to daycare.
Hello we are doing quite well two and a half hours left today and DD is just waking up. This is when she usually is pretty much done.
And dreemkin I am sorry I haven't written anything up for you about anxiety. I haven't forgotten but I have been utterly scattered brained these last few weeks!
hollydfromtn is S feeling better? Good luck with your candy!
He is! Thanks for asking. His cough is still lingering, but sounds more like a normal cough now. He's been a wild man, though. He's been super silly, nonstop movement, and getting into EVERYTHING. He also has his front bottom teeth on the verge of breaking through the gums.

lilyelayne I just joined the Loom to Wrap group on FB and have now fallen down the rabbit hole of all the gorgeous wraps. I figured you could appreciate the longing I'm feeling for a handwoven now. Also have you tried a 4 yet? I'm getting pretty decent with the SHBC with my wrapsody and I'm thinking of trying a shortie on Monday at my BWI meeting.

Omgosh Loom to Wrap is like crack. You'll join so many weaver chatter groups and suddenly your fbook feed will be 85% handwoven wrap posts & you'll be like I need that one! Oh, wait, it's $800. I'm getting a traveling handwoven from a weaver I'm drooling over. It's visiting for a week in March. I can't wait.
My handwoven is a 4. It's quite thin, plain weave all cotton. I do ruck and HJBC with CCCB (no flip version, look up Babywearing Faith's YouTube.) front carry I do semi FWCC or short FCC (prefer semi FWCC but if I'm running a bunch of quick errands I'll do short FCC since it's poppable.) Hip carry I do coolest hip cross carry.
After Christmas I'm probably getting a hemp blend didymos, if I can decide which one I want, and likely in a 4. It's so much easier to wrap out & about in a 4 instead of a 6.

Good to know. How did you get on a list for a traveling wrap? I just found out this is a thing like a week ago and haven't really looked into it yet. I've been drooling over the didys, too. If I decide to get a woven, that's likely what I'll get.

My other wrap is a didy iris size 6. I'm in a couple didy chatter groups on fbook if you want me to send you the links.
As far as the traveling wrap, I was in the weaver's chatter group and one of the ladies decided when she got her wrap to send it traveling. You just had to comment on her post within 24 hours and show good feedback - thank goodness I had some from the big swap! It was just a right time, right place sort of thing.

We're leaving to Greece in about an hour. Im always so stressed getting out of the house :/ dh is a rule bender and likes to see what he can get away with. i like to minimise stress by sticking to the rules ahead of time... so every single time we travel it's a predictable drama. Add baby in to the mix and you get arguments will be mainly internetless excrpt for cafes etc so I'll be quiter than normal have a nice Sunday !
