It seems a lot of us have had bleeding scares:( On Monday I had some brown spotting. Red the next day. It's sort of gone back and forth between bright red and brown for the past few days-never increasing in amount. I saw the MW at my practice on Thursday and they did a Stat beta (1700) but we couldn't do a second because i had a flight out of town yesterday. All the MW could say was that my beta was higher than she expected for 5 weeks, but it's just a waiting game at this point. Strangely, the spotting is always in the middle of the day and only when I wipe. Has anyone experienced anything like this? I was so exited to share our news with the family but have to admit this has me a little scared.
Sorry you're going through this too. It sucks. My spotting was only when I wiped also, but still waiting on my second beta. Glad your number was so high!
I had a very finicky cervix with DS2 and it was easily irritated by sex, constipation, strenuous activity or sometimes just because, I dunno, the wind was blowing? Anyway. I had a fair bit of brown spotting, some pink, some red. Only ever when I wiped. I flipped out every time it happened but everything was totally fine. Big hugs, deep breaths, and sticky baby vibes to you my dear
My spotting has always only been when I wipe. It's normal to bleed through first Tri, unfortunately, but I wouldn't think it's anything to worry about unless it increases or is accompanied by some painful cramps.
Crossing everything that you have nothing to worry about!
Thank you all for your kind words! I'm trying to take comfort in the fact that is been so light for nearly a week in a row. Why do these babies have to stress us out from the very beginning?

Try and take it easy Hard I know but like Rama said, its pretty normal and unless its alot and/or accompanied by cramps then it maybe nothing to worry about. Hugs

There is a thread on PAIF with a spotting poll to help newbies feel better about it. Something like a third of normal healthy pregnancies have first tri spotting. I'm sure it's terrifying but it doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong!

I will definitely check this out. Thanks so much for the suggestion!

I hope things resolve quickly! For what it's worth, I had bleeding on several occasions when pregnant with my three year old. More than a pad an hour on multiple occasions. you really can have bleeding and ultimately have a healthy baby. Fingers crossed for you but I wouldn't stress it!

I have a SCH, which has caused a few bleeding episodes (gushes of blood and period like bleeding) and days of spotting. SCHs are usually harmless and only become a problem if they are too close to the placenta. I have an u/s on Tuesday and hopefully it will show that my SCH has resolved.

((HUGS)) I've been having some spotting today as well. I called the doctor and they said it was completely normal to have some spotting.I'm still going in tomorrow for a repeat beta to ease my mind. Hopefully it's nothing for you.
As far as the beta goes. My RE was really happy with my number on Thursday (2167) and her only comment was that the embryo must have implanted right away after my transfer. They seemed more focused on if it had doubled from my first one on Tuesday (816). I'm 5w2d today.
