In '03 I was also a junior in high school. Same age as @jemomma, apparently!
I was... smoking pot, dating a 22 year-old, taking AP Calculus and wanting to be a math teacher when I grew up, and living in the "coldest city in the US" at the time
OH I'm sad I missed this! We had Christmas with my family tonight and then DS has been a beast to put down.
To catch up, I am team Love Actually, team no man bun, and in 2003, I was finishing up my student teaching and graduating from college driving a Geo Prism.

Finally home, nursing a baby, and caught up on this thread... And ya'll are going to bed. Boo.
No to Love Actually, but DH loves it and will ugly cry with the rest of you. We own it. Team Holiday +1 Dominatrix Barbie?? How about Drag Queen Ken? Graduated from HS in 2003 and got my first vehicle for Christmas that year. 94 F250. Still have it. And no on the crafty hand print stuff. Super cute, but I suck at that stuff.
@bubbs119 and @jemomma, you ladies will be pleased to know that I just started Love Actually while eating a delicious breakfast and pumping my veins full of coffee.
GTKY question/topic. Love Actually was released in 2003. Tell us something about your life in '03.
I was 13 and I think I had my first "boyfriend". Aka we wrote notes and he called me on my home phone. The horror that would be these days!
This was exactly me in '03
No man buns. I think I've seen Love Actually once or twice, but I don't remember it (I'm a terrible movie watcher). I had some of my friends at work (preschool) help me torture LO to make a foot print shape for every month to make calendars for the grandparents. They better love it.
So I liked it. It reminds me of the movies Valentine's Day, He's Just Not That Into You, and a little bit of The Holiday. The similarities were the star-studded cast and the multiple love stories happening that were slightly intertwined. I think my favorite story line was the little kid Sam. The innocence was sweet. I also see him and think of Game of Thrones and MazeRunner.
Graduated college in 2000. In 2003 I was working at the easiest job I've ever had designing surf clothing. Staying out late partying with friends. At the end of 2003 I met DH. It was a good year!
Did you see it's now "popular on Netflix?" I just saw that for the first time today. I mean, I know it's a holiday movie and all, but I still say it's from J15.
