I've never tried it but I've always heard it helps MS. Is it delicious? Is there a particular brand that tastes better? Do you think it helps with MS or simply a placebo effect?

Wait, huh? You've NEVER had ginger ale before?
Does.not.compute.
But yes, it's delicious. I don't know about helping MS personally because I was fortunate enough to not have to deal with it with DS, but it's ginger, so it should help settle your stomach.
Buy brand name though; Seagrams or....I forget what the other good one is. But generic ginger ale is gross.
Ginger has been used for centuries to cure stomach ailments. The trick is to find ginger ale that is properly made with actual ginger root. Personally, I think it helps a bit. Another thing I like is to simmer ginger and garlic in chicken broth, then add sriracha and lime juice. It is so so soothing when you have any kind of illness (it's basically lazy pho --real pho is eeeeeeverything)

oh I need to try this, it sounds so good! How much do you put in of each thing?

Ehhh i do about a quart of stock (my DH makes his own and it is so lovely), 2 T minced fresh ginger, 2-3 cloves of minced garlic, and then everything else to taste. If you add scallions, rice noodles and some chopped cilantro it makes a nice light meal

I once tried this ginger ale with slices of ginger in it. It was so strong it made me very sick. But thing like Canada Dry are nice. Not sure it will stop vomitting, but you'll feel a bit better.
I think I'll try it tomorrow. My mother always swore by Coke or Sprite so it was never my MO to try anything ginger. I'm desperate. I have to be on my game with these two little girls.
My go to is Northern Neck (a Coke brand but may only be available in VA). I also love ginger beer - Stewarts is my fave b/c it's just like ginger ale with a bite, not as strong as Jamaican ginger beer which can be kind of peppery depending on the brand. Seagrams is also pretty good if you like a milder taste.

I feel like in New England we drink ginger ale on the reg like they do with Coke down south. Every restaurant up here has it on tap/soda machine. When I moved out west coast and asked for it, the waiter looked at me like I had 3 heads. And my friends from out there were like "What? That's just something you drink when you're sick." I was like uuum no!!
100% off topic, but could someone please tell me what TTMA stands for? I have been running through all the possibilities in my head and coming up blank.

Not as a MS remedy, necessarily, but jamaican ginger beer is amazing. Ginger ale didn't cut it last preg for me but this time I am majorly hooked on cranberry sprite. Makes me laugh because I usually grab a cherry coke but mmmmm this sprite tastes so good.
