1st Beta - So far so good! Update: 2nd beta, still good!

I got my blood drawn for my first beta on Saturday, and I was literally heading out for my second one when I got the call from my first one! My progesterone looks great, and my number (38 days past the first day of my LMP) was 7781. Which seems to be right in the middle of the right range. Now we just need a good double and maybe I can relax?

Update: I'm on winter break, and I've been stalling all day on getting in the shower, because I knew that when I got into the shower, they'd call. I finally caved and showered. They called. 40 days past my LMP, my beta was 14735, which is a doubling time of 52 hours! They said they were really happy with that, but my OB wants me to keep my extra U/S appointment as soon as I get back from PDX. I didn't talk to her directly, but I assume it's because my OB wants to keep my anxiety at bay. Should I call back to ask specifically why she wants me to keep the ultrasound, or just be happy with everything and be so excited to see our little nerd 11 days earlier than otherwise?
