I decided to take advantage of one of the very few perks of doing IVF & paying all that extra money to verify the chromosomes were normal before transfer. The sex chromosomes were included in the report but we opted not to find out at the time. We transferred the highest rated one I was going to wait until longer to find out but decided to just go ahead & ask my RE today. Once I found out I went and bought pink onesies and surprised my husband with an early Christmas gift (he was so convinced it was a boy). We are both thrilled! Now I need to cross my fingers and toes so hard that I don't miscarry this one. As of 6w 6d she's still doing great. Next check is Monday at 8w 2d.

Oh man it I would have known right away I would have broken the bank with cute girlie clothes! Congrats, little girls are soooo much fun to shop for!
Oh believe me if I had enough confidence in this pregnancy not ending in miscarriage I would be buying all the things girly!! So far so good though, everything has been perfect at our first 2 ultrasounds & we have never had a first ultrasound without some kind of a red flag before this. We also know her chromosomes are "normal" meaning she correctly has 2 copies of each chromosome. Hopefully I can breath a little better once I get past first trimester
Congratulations! I hope that all goes well and you can rest/breathe/grow easy soon. Having a daughter is such a blessing...my 14 month old DD is quite a handful, but I am so happy to have a daughter.
