We are driving to see MIL tomorrow morning. Im not looking forward to being in the car that long. My pubic symphysis disorder is raging right now (inflamed bc I walked all day on Monday) and I'm pretty miserable.
Sad to say, I'm worried PSD will keep me from considering a third. I'm in so much pain and have 25 weeks to go. I'm scared.
PSA: Snoogles are $39.99 at Burlington Coat Factory. The big size, not the mini. ETA: there's no cover, so that will cost extra, still a little better than Amazon prices.
I logged on to the OB's patient portal to check my thyroid levels from Monday ( they are fine) but also saw the results for my maternal AFP results. I had no idea what the number meant, so of course I headed to google. Only to freak out that the levels were elevated indicating a possible issue. Thank goodness the OB's office called just in time to tell me everything was ok! Yay.
soultrane, will be watching It's a Wonderful Life soon, love that movie. I have a very vivid childhood memory of seeing my dad cry while watching that movie. It's the only time I've ever seen him cry. It was during the part where the shopkeeper slaps young George across the face/ear, makes me sad to think about it.
My incredible first world problem, I think that some of the oil the person used to massage my legs while getting a pedicure yesterday created oil stains on my favorite maternity jeans. I've washed them and they are still there.
Had a nice lunch with my friend today, DS was not his best but pulled through okay. My friend said I didn't look pregnant so obviously that made my day even though I know it's probably because I'm wearing a big baggy sweater.
We have a fire going, our 2 dogs and our cat are all hanging out by the fireplace with us and I just made muffins for late breakfast, this is shaping up to be a great day.
We love using our fireplace but it scares DD so we haven't been able to do it much. Hoping she gets over it! Sounds relaxing!
Today was a huge blur and I feel like I might drop! DD and I went to 5 different stores today for last minute groceries and things. She was amazing thankfully! I think stopping for a snack break and riding horses at the store helped! Then I got home did some laundry made lunch and put DD down for nap. I did relax for a bit but have since made peanut butter balls and a blanket. I'm ready for bed!! Also DD has been asking for a guinea pig and after some research I think we might get her one soon and I wanted to make a cage so I've been working on that as well. Anyone have one or had one in the past? Thoughts? I know it will mostly be on me and we've held some. She dies really well and loves them!

I had them in my classroom for 3 years-pretty east and low maintenance besides changing their bedding!
Boooo. DS has caught whatever cold DH has. He woke up crying last night and was hot. Motrin, books, and an hour of snuggling at 3am and he went back down. Tonight we went to the big light display (495,000 lights!) but it was after bedtime so he only stopped fussing for the trains part and a couple cute "Oooooo!"s at the lights. He woke up after just an hour crying and nothing helped. But as soon as I laid him down, he sighed and went back to sleep.
I started wearing maternity pants during our drive to my parents'. So much more comfy for long drives. Then I didn't want to pack lots of extra pants.
I've been wearing maternity shirts since second tri with DS. They are so much longer. Normal shirts are always too short for me. I will probably wear maternity shirts forever.
mamrotu73 I'm sorry. I hope he feels betters! Kevinmac yay! Perfect time before the holidays!
Ds and I have been sick for 3 days. He has been waking up about 10 times a night screaming so of course I'm not getting any sleep therefore not getting better. I've completely lost my voice
In pregnancy news: I felt the baby move yesterday and I was with my mom and sister so they got to feel. We all got a little teary eyed.
Kevinmac, Woohoo! Congrats on getting off pelvic rest!
shan , I'm sorry you're in pain. It's amazing what we women put our bodies through to create life. I hope it gets better.
mladerri , get well soon. Sucks to be sick over the holiday. It's awesome that you felt the baby moving. I really wish I could feel this little one move. I'm at 16w and this is my first so I know it will likely be another month, but I keep hoping to feel her moving.
