We just got home from a party. DD plays with another three year old really well. But changing her clothes tonight she has a bite mark on her arm. I text the other parent and she tells me well that happens. I want to just come unglued.
origamimommy I love that picture, he looks so happy!
GOmamab15 I'm sorry that your Christmas was rough. ((Hugs))
txmommy14 yeah that's terrifying! I'm glad you guys are ok. Good luck with the rest of your travels.
bighair12 yeah I would not be happy if a 3 year old bit my child. DS either gets bitten or bites someone in his daycare class about once a month. The big difference is that they're all between 12-24 months and mostly non-verbal. It's really not acceptable behavior at age 3. I'm embarrassed and apologize profusely when DS does it at his age. I can't imagine being so nonchalant about it at 3. I hope your DD is ok!
Christmas is over for another 360 days. I'm so glad.
The drama in DH's family is enough to make me sick. SIL's one month old has infantile sleep apnea. Her parents went and bought her an angel care monitor on the doctors recommendation, which she refuses to use. Why wouldn't you use the technology designed to potentially save your child's life?!?!?

bighair12 a response like that ended a friendship for me. Her daughter is the same age as my son (3) and she is so physical. If they were 18 months old, I would totally get it. But at 3? No. My son is in daycare and we haven't had an incident report relating to biting / hitting / etc in over a year. That's not acceptable behavior for a 3 year old, and I would be more pissed at the moms reaction than anything else. My friend was always the same way, and the violence was less concerning than the lack of addressing the situation. Nope nope nope.
It's been a crazy night. Don't know if you guys have seen the national news, but there were 7 killed in north Texas storms tonight. We were driving right in the middle of it and were literally ahead of the tornado by 5 minutes. I'm still shaken up. We took this picture when we were pulled over....
We fly out in the morning for PA! Feeling consisted baby movement and it's the best thing ever.
That looks like it was terrifying. Glad you guys are ok!

I've been super MIA because these "holidays" have sucked everything out of me. And that, or 2 year molars, or just being a toddler (or everything combined) has turned DD into a nightmare this last week. My patience has worn out. I'm hiding upstairs pretending to sort laundry and I hear the tantrums from the basement.

Sorry you're going through this. We are going through a nightmare stage too. DS is a ball of energy and emotions that erupts at the smallest thing. The tantrums have been so bad lately that if I need to remove him from the situation for whatever reason, I have to grab him by the ankles because he immediately arches his back, which makes it almost impossible to pick him up.
It was so funny this morning though when we were at the park. There were a couple other kids there his age that were throwing pretty big tantrums. He just stared at them, pointed, and said "baby." I'm like yeah kid, you do that too, and I agree that it's baby behavior.
Too bad we can't have some alcohol to get through this stage!
I thought I was just dealing with pregnancy related nasal congestion, but now I'm convinced I'm allergic to something in my house and office. I couldn't stop blowing my nose this morning, then I left the house and didn't sneeze or need to blow my nose once the whole time I was out. I'm hoping a deep cleaning will do the trick. Not sure what to do about my office though. Maybe it's the Hvac system.
