Pot roast is so easy that I'd save it for a weekday meal since there tends to be less time for preparation then. What's your Thai soup recipe? I'm interested for myself.
Which one will you be less likely to make during the week? Does one match your weather better?
I would be less likely to make the pot roast during the week because my work schedule means I can't make slow cooker meals while I am out of the house (gone for 10-11 hours and most only cook for 8). Our weather is wet and grey. For me both would be comfort food, so both fit
Both sound good, but the roast sounds especially good to me right now, but that is probably because I saw a roast in my freezer the other day while the crock pot is at MH's house (he works in a different city, so we call our places "mommy's" and "daddy's" because it was easiest for LO to understand), so I can't make it.
I did a pork roast in the crock pot for dinner/the game tonight. Normally I would just throw potatoes and carrots in and call it a day, but DH wanted BBQ seasoned pork, so I did a side of fried okra instead. It was a hit - even DD liked it.
I've lived in the southeast for over 20 years, but still learning to cook like a southerner!
