Hey all. I'll be. 17 weeks on Monday, and so far everything seems to be going smoothly. Here's the TMI- you have been warned!
Today I noticed an increase in discharge; and then tonight after going to the bathroom for the millionth time to pee I noticed that it had changed consistency. It was a lot, kinda resembling rubber cement. Is this normal?!? Should I call someone?

Welcome to the wonderful world of crazy pregnancy discharge! Unless it has a foul smell or comes with irritation I wouldn't be concerned. I will throw some TMI right back at you...this time around I have experienced so much discharge at times I have had to change my pants and use a panty liner. Good times! Oh so sexy right?!

I actually did talk to my ob about this and he said the same thing as the others-- normal unless bad smell, cottage cheese consistency, or pain/irritation.

Sounds normal to me.
I remember someone on GKU saying a-la Fight Club --rule number 1 about GKU/KTFU Club, never talk to SO about your discharge. Rule number 2 never talk to SO about your discharge.
They don't know and no matter what it's gunna freak him/you out.

I notice this consistency of discharge often the day after having sex. I've read that it's part of the cervical mucus plug that gets knocked out of place occasionally. Totally normal.

We did have hotel sex on Friday. I didn't even consider that as a possibility!

My first pregnancy... I thought I had a lot discharge but then I got pregnant again. I cannot stand the amount I'm dealing with this time around. It's un-freaking-bearable. Sorry you're experiencing this too.

My thoughts exactly. I thought it was bad at the end of my last pregnancy because I often had to wear panty liners. This time it's starting way early and it makes me feel gross and makes me never in the move to DTD. My poor husband.

So - Since we're on the topic - what liners don't drive you all mad? I find the liners (I'm using right now - Kotex) aren't absorbing the discharge at all making me feel even more gross. (Looking for absorbent, not scratchy, ideally sticky that they don't twist and move or cause the worst wedgies). Please tell me such a thing exists?

Following! The two brands I have tried just kinda have it floating on top, gag. My nurse friend said she had to begin wearing pads!

This plus I keep peeing myself. I kind of laughed off the kegel thing the first time and my pelvic floor muscles have paid the price.
On the topic of panty liner brands - I think they all suck. I would rather wear a super super thin pad any day. It's almost as if the panty liner manufacturers all got together and were like, how can we make these things the least absorbent possible?
It's happening to me too. When I was trying to GKU I couldn't make cervical mucus if I tried! I increased water intake and avoided antihistamines, but I was pretty dry all month. It's a wonder I even got a BFP. Now I'm like a freakin' fountain.
babyzebra my pregnant coworker just talked to me about kegels. I didn't know it was good to do them. My OB never mentioned it. I'm going to start now. It's not like I'm getting any other exercise around here:)

I've tried a bunch of liners and they all make me feel gross. I alternate between using one and not all day long so that I can feel remotely comfortable most of the time.
