Getting stuck in a crazy position.

DD has FINALLY been moved to the crib in her room, amen. This was the first week and she did better than expected, I think we are all sleeping better! I also don't have to be a prisoner in my own bedroom and can now watch TV again after 8pm in my room and have it on a volume higher than 5. 

Now that she can enjoy the luxurious, spacious crib (compared to the porta crib).. DD has gotten herself stuck numerous times in crazy positions. Curious if anyone else is experiencing this. I have seen other people post about the LOs rolling over and startling themselves awake/crying but this is a bit different.

DD has just started rolling from belly to back, hasn't quite figured out the other way yet but I think this is her attempt? She really likes having her cheek rub against something so I think she is trying to get her whole side of her face on the mattress BUT I also think her head is too big for her to lift to get herself back in a normal position. Hope this is making sense.. I had to go in there 3 times the past 2 nights to help her out of this position because she starts crying and I just see her arms and legs frantically moving but her head seems stuck!


I'm also kind of paranoid that she can't breathe properly in this position. You can tell me I'm overreacting. I mean, I guess all I really can do is keep assisting her out of this position, right?

My LO sleeps like that all the time.

How long do you let her fuss before you go in there?

I usually go right in because it's not so much fussing as opposed to on the verge of freaking out. She only cried about it once last night so I might have to try a let it play out a little longer - I may be rushing in too quickly.

I'd give her some time to try to work it out herself and see how she does. Mine usually fusses a bit while he's getting himself into a comfortable sleeping position (for him...I wouldn't be able to walk if I slept like he does).

Ya, Spencer sleeps all fucked up too. Some of the positions he sleeps in look so awkward and uncomfortable but we just let him be. I figure if he is that uncomfortable he'll move on his own.
