The new year is coming up on us fast! Our babies are soon turning one (some already have!) and there are a lot of exciting things happening in 2016. So here's some questions:
1) How are you celebrating New Year's Eve? Any exciting plans?
2) Do you do New Year's resolutions? Do you have any for 2016?
3) What is something you are really looking forward to in 2016?

1. We're going over to DH's Aunt's house for a bit. They're moving soon (closer to us actually, so that'll be convenient), and having one last party. Other than that, probably hang out at home, drinking cava, after DS goes to bed.
2. I like to make some goals. Usually it's just been a reading goal, but u didn't do anything last year since I knew having a baby would derail everything.
I think I'll do a reading goal of 15, which is the lowest I've made, but that makes it more than 1 a month, which is my current average. (According to goodreads I only finished 8 this year)
Then I'd like to keep the house straightened up. I'm so tired of clutter. We have a bad habit of setting things on tables and just leaving piles of crap everywhere.
3. Hmmm... possibly actually getting a tax refund this year? Haha! Nothing is coming to mind, but I do know that I'm looking forward to our cruise that's in early 2017.
1. DH's brother and family are having people over and they only live a couple of minutes from us. I'm trying to convince DH to go there and I can have a quiet night at home alone but not sure it will happen.
2. Not any resolutions per say, but since DD is eating more real food I want to make more of an effort to cook again. It's something I really struggled to get back into after she was born, and I do usually cook meals for us but they are quick ones like tacos or casserole.
3. I'm excited and nervous for another baby to enter our family. I feel like it took awhile to adjust to DD, but I think I would be nervous regardless of when it happened since I generally don't like change. I am excited to see DD with a sibling though

1) How are you celebrating New Year's Eve? Any exciting plans? No exciting plans. We were invited to a party, but it starts at 8 (DS goes to bed at 8:30), I have to work Thursday (so I'll probably be tired) and they always set up a DUI check point right by our house on big holidays, which is just a headache to deal with you're the DD (long line, lots of questions, blah blah blah), so we're just spending the evening at home. I'll make some snacks, we'll turn on Netflix and chill.
2) Do you do New Year's resolutions? Do you have any for 2016? To continue to lose baby weight, to seriously tackle some house projects and to try and take time for me once a week.
3) What is something you are really looking forward to in 2016? Trying to expand our family, my first Disney race and Little Man's first birthday
1) How are you celebrating New Year's Eve? Any exciting plans? We will be going over to a friends house to play games. I think we may not stay till midnight, but we'll see.
2) Do you do New Year's resolutions? Do you have any for 2016? We joined a gym, so I am going to make an effort to go at least once a week.
3) What is something that you are looking forward to in 2016? I am looking forward to visiting family in the spring and going back to Sun Valley.
1) We are going to BIL's for a party. Lots of families with kids, which will be fun. The party is New York-themed and we are expected to dress with that in mind... Anyone have any ideas for me?
2) I usually don't do any resolutions, but this year I've decided to get a grip of our finances. For real. Savings and everything.
3) I'm trying to accomplish '30 before 30', i.e. 30 countries visited before turning 30. I only have till September to do it and I have 4 countries to go. So hopefully I have lots of travelling to look forward to!
1) How are you celebrating New Year's Eve? Any exciting plans? Watching bowl games and eating yummy things. It'll just be me, the hubs, and the baby. We'll see if I make it to midnight...
2) Do you do New Year's resolutions? Do you have any for 2016? I'm quitting sodas (hold me!) and want to get in a regular exercise routine. I'm kinda all over the place with it right now.
3) What is something you are really looking forward to in 2016? My baby turning ONE! Also I'm really hoping for a vacation, since we didn't have one this year.

1) How are you celebrating New Year's Eve? Any exciting plans? Clearly I lost my damn mind, because I suggested we join my in laws at their country house- which they weren't even planning on until we said it out loud. Now the entire extended family is coming and I'm kicking myself. Oh well, at least it'll be a free weekend- nothing worse than having a lame New Years and spendin a fortune for it.
2) Do you do New Year's resolutions? Do you have any for 2016? I don't typically do resolutions, but this year I've decided to focus in where it matters. I tend to over commit and then feel so guilty that I'm not able to give my all to everything. So in this case, I'm going to start saying no to things outside my priorities of my family, my career, my health, and my volunteer work with the Junior League.
3) What is something you are really looking forward to in 2016? I'm going to be turning 30 in September, pushing hard for a promotion at work, and trying for baby #2 at the end of the summer! And on top of that, 3 of my best friends are getting married all over the country so lots of travel, and 10 days in Hawaii! Should be a big year! Actually just writing this out got me super excited, so that's good!

1) How are you celebrating New Year's Eve? Any exciting plans? Drink some cava on our balcony and hopefully see some fireworks. Maybe we can venture individually to the festivities down the road while the other stays with the baby.
2) Do you do New Year's resolutions? Do you have any for 2016? I'm going to win this darn diet bet. I need to get back below my PP weight. Also find a fabulous job with my current company. Have a better relationship with H.
3) What is something you are really looking forward to in 2016? We have a few more trips planned in the beginning of the year. Making a decision on where to live for the next several years.

1) How are you celebrating New Year's Eve? Any exciting plans? Not really sure yet. We're invited to our friends' house. I'd like to go, but I'm not sure what DH wants to do and how it would work with DS. I could go at the beginning with DS before H gets off work and then come home to bring DS to bed...or maybe we could get MIL to babysit. We really need to discuss it tonight.
2) Do you do New Year's resolutions? Do you have any for 2016? I usually make them, but rarely keep them. I'll say that some goals for next year are: 1. Lose weight 2. Declutter and get rid of all the crap I've been hoarding 3. Quit being late to everything 4. Learn how to cook
3) What is something you are really looking forward to in 2016? Just watching DS grow and learn more. And possibly TFAS.
Oo GeekBeagle, your #3 is something we need to work on too. I usually blame DH because he is forever the time optimist but in reality I'm no better myself.
1) appetizers and drinks at home watching New Years Rockin' Eve. Chicago has laaame NYE coverage so might not even stay up for that (I'm working Thurs so I'll be tired).
2) No resolutions this year.
3) Finish painting so we can get new bedroom furniture!! Also our friends are getting married in April and I love weddings. It should be a lot of fun. I'm also looking forward to taking Annie on her first Door County trip. I'm bummed we didn't go this year (but moving kinda jazzed that up).
1) How are you celebrating New Year's Eve? Any exciting plans? - I don't particularly like NYE so no big plans. DH wants to take DS to watch fireworks, and my mom has invited us to her annual NYE dinner, but even if we do both of those we'll be home by 8.
2) Do you do New Year's resolutions? Do you have any for 2016? - I don't do resolutions. My concrete goal is to refocus my yoga practice. I think I'm going to do two focus words this year, never done that before: generosity and graciousness.
3) What is something you are really looking forward to in 2016? - more time with DS, of course. My BFF's baby getting out of the hospital. Feeling more comfortable with other people keeping DS so I can have more one-on-one time with DH that's not at home between 8 & 11pm.
