Working here, too (from home today). I go into the office tomorrow and then get to enjoy a 4-day weekend!
Not a whole lot exciting happening here. DH is going to stain the second rocking dog for the nursery today! I'm so excited. They are seriously the most adorable things ever. I think since I have an appt on January 4 and the dogs are finally done, we'll wait until after that to "announce" on FB. All of our close friends and family know already, just a matter of coming out to the masses. Eeep!

I played in two fantasy football leagues this year. Winner winner in one (very satisfying, 12th year we've played with people from college) and second place in the other! I'm feeling like bragging. I'd like to thank Cam Newton and the Cardinals defense for the playoffs.

They sound so cute! I hope you post a photo of them, and the announcement! We are still posting announcements, I hope.

Will resume pregnancy and baby talk now.
Nice! My luck was terrible this year - 5th, 8th, and 9th :/

It's so nasty here!! Freezing rain! However I am out and headed over to VS for the semi annual sale for new bras. My boobs won't stop growing!!!!!! Then I have some Disney work to do from home and rehearsal tonight! Busy busy!!
At work and it's dead so I've been doing about 2% work and 98% TCF. My boss left me a jar of chocolate covered cherries, brownie bites, cookies, and pretzels. Cannot stop eating.

I like your percentages. Sounds about right for me, too.

Nice!! I played in 2 leagues this year, too. I won my 12-team work league! By one point! It was a close match-up til the very end! I'm slightly disappointed it's not a money league.
The league with friends I ended up 4th. Damn you, Big Ben.

I will definitely AW them! We're using them in our announcement so that will be a perfect reason to dig up the announcement thread.

Ooh I have another one. We finally told our nanny and the other nanny share family about the pregnancy. They were both so excited! I was pretty nervous because this childcare situation is working so well right now, and I don't want to mess it up. I'm also not sure what we'd do if our nanny or the other family didn't want to add a newborn. But the nanny reassured us that she's taken care of four kids before, so three should be easy (!) -- her words. I'm feeling positive now that we'll be able to work it out. Why is childcare so hard?
Ugh, childcare is my biggest stressor right now. The centers are way too expensive for us to be sending 2 infants, and I'm terrified I won't be able to find an in-home provider who is willing to take on 2 infants either. Gah!

Well it was a late start to the randoms, but once the flood gates opened everyone posts! manybellsdown, I think we were all sitting around waiting for you to start the thread
I'm working from home today because the weather is NASTY - wintery mix of snow/ice/sleet. DH gets to work from home all week too, which is super-nice because he is normally out-of-town Mon-Thurs every week. I love having him around!
For some unexplained reason I'm super-nauseous this morning and I have come close to tossing my breakfast twice. I don't think it's pregnancy-related because I'm 17 weeks and I never really had much MS to begin with. I don't think I ate anything odd. Maybe I'm coming down with something, boo
DS woke up for the day at 3:30. I'm always amused when people brag that their 12 week old is sleeping through the night. It's always from sticking to a schedule or XYZ reason. Lol ok. I'm bitter today!

I'm with you. I have a minor panic attack every time I think about childcare. I only have one baby to worry about but we can't reserve a daycare yet because we don't know where we will be living or working after my maternity leave (long story). I have a feeling we're going to have to resort to emergency childcare options we have through my job, which we'll have to pay through the nose for. I can feel my bank account bleeding.
pbandj714, finding care for one is stressful enough, I can't imagine two. Our biggest childcare stressor will be the logistics of drop off and pick up at our preferred daycare (where DS went and we love them), they are only open from 8-5:30 and DH and I will both be dealing with hour long commutes. Our second choice is open from 7-6 but I've heard mixed reviews.
babyzebra, sorry DS woke up at such an ungodly hour. I would have loved for all of those with sleeping advice to try to get my DS to nap/sleep/stay asleep all of the years he slept terribly. See how that goes for them.
Today DS and I are going to meet my brother and niece at the Discovery Museum, then out to lunch. I'm going to look at wedding dresses with my sister in the afternoon and then dinner at my parent's house.
This new job background check is killing me. It's incredibly difficult to prove with legally binding documents the last 5 years of my employment as a permanent self employed contractor for a company based in the UK with no US legal presence. This process is killing me.
We were supposed to have a blizzard yesterday, turned out we just got a nice snowfall. But I still need to scoop the drive. Yesterday my sciatic was so bad I could barely walk.
I realized that my rings were tight so I decided it was time to remove them. Wow, was that painful. I had to bind my finger with dental floss in order to remove them. My finger is now shredded.
I have been so lazy since Christmas, I need to get my ass in gear and get some stuff done!

*major vent* Y'all I am SUCH a bitch today. I haven't been sleeping well and last night was particularly horrible, so I'm tired and grumpy today. Add to that, DH has no projects at work so he is working from home, I am working from home, IT'S TOO MUCH TOGETHER TIME and he's having his wisdom teeth pulled on Thursday so I'm going to have to play nurse all weekend and I'M SO TIRED OF THIS. I just am used to being alone for a lot more than I have been lately and I need my space. And with his surgery on Thursday I know I have another week of this constant togetherness. I'm about to tell him I'm leaving to get lunch by myself because I need peace and quiet for an hour. //end rant I feel a little awful saying all of this because I know frecklesnbrains is so happy to have her DH around, but hopefully someone here is like me and needs her space a little sometimes?

Yikes! Glad you got it off and I hope your back & finger feel better soon! I'm now really glad I took my ring off a couple months ago preemptively.

I don't know if it was the traveling yesterday or something else but I'm having occasional dizzy spells today. I've spent most of the day on the couch resting and watching DS play and kind of love having an excuse to do absolutely nothing.

virginiaorjohn, I totally understand needing alone time! I'm a definite introvert and normally I'm perfectly fine being by myself for most of the week. It is starting to get a bit old though... being away from each other 3 nights/week going on a year and a half now. I think it's much harder on him than it is on me though. (Still crossing fingers that the local job he applied for works out!). Anyway, good luck with your DH's wisdom teeth! I hope it will be a quick recovery!

frecklesnbrains yes, I am happy to be around people for periods of time but definite introvert here too! I'm just on the strugglebus today! My alone lunch helped, maybe I will do the same tomorrow.
I have been working on my thesis for three hours now. I am losing my mind. I think I have two more pages in me for the day. Plus, I have schedule for my board studying for the next few months and need to get ahead of that.
In other news, I had a friend scan me today. She is super awesome and with all this bleeding it is nice to just take a look every so often. I am thinking we saw the three lines of a girl. But, I am only 13w5d say I not putting my money on anything at this point.
