Gah. Today has made me realize just how few steps I really do take on an average day. 2pm and I'm only at 2,657. And that's with a brief trip through the grocery store.
Maybe the dogs and I will go for a walk tonight. Or the dog park, if the weather stays cold.
I've been home all day so I'm only at 2,088. Ive been lazy. Maybe I'll vacuum the house later so I can get some more steps in.
I ordered 30 inch dark grey shoelaces from Amazon (because at the time it was easier than going to a store.) They arrived today and were 54 inch dark brown. I was a little miffed and didn't want to do the return/exchange deal because I thought that wasn't fair. So I contacted the seller, and they replied to my email within 2 minutes apologizing and saying they were refunding me and sending me the correct items! I was actually quite impressed. (I'll be more impressed if the right shoelaces arrive.)

They down staffed our floor and I got to go home at 3 instead of 7:30. I was so excited! Now I only have one more day shift tomorrow and I will finally be back on nights. I seriously find it harder to wake up at 4:45am for work than to stay up all night. Go figure.
I am doing Whole30 starting Friday. I'm excited because I am in desperate need of a reset. If anything I hope 30 days with no processed food and no sugar will help curb my cravings. I just constantly crave sugar and it is so bad for me. I'm addicted! I'm interested to see how I feel after.
@pineappleoranges - I'm so, so late on this, but that BC thread you posted on Monday... I'm finally to page 200 or so, when she posts the pic of bherbert. I'm dying. It's just... gah. So much build up! And then...

So I've been relatively unproductive today. The only reason I got out of bed was for an eye appointment. I caught H's crummy cold. I'm drinking theraflu and watching Dexter reruns.

Yay for getting out early! I feel the same way about getting up for day shift. I'm technically PRN now so I can choose whatever shift I want to work and still pick nights. I don't care what time you go to bed, 5AM is still too early to get up.

I'm having a beer and packing...getting up at 3am to try to get to the airport and not miss my flight this time...fingers crossed!!
TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!
It's so hard. I miss pasta and mashed potatoes the most. I also am a vegetarian who is lactose intolerant. It's makes me so cranky sometimes.
How low carb do you want to/have to go? There are some mighty fine whole wheat pastas out there. And quinoa!
My RE never specified I eat some carbs so I don't eliminate completely. So I won't eat any carbs all day if I want pasta for dinner or something. I have cheat days every once in awhile too.

My all time best was 20k the first day we were in Vegas. I walked from the Flamingo (where we were staying) to the far end (past Paris and all that) and then back. Then H and I wandered the casino for a while. Then we went to Freemont and walked the entire length of that.

pismoduo I do a decent amount of walking usually, 2 miles just in my commute...but I've been going to work different ways this week. I'm going to have to add in lunch walks! And I've been carrying things up the stairs in small piles to do more trips!

On typical busy days at work for me (in the lab) I can easily get 8000-10000 steps without trying. If I go for a run after work, I'm typically at 12000-14000.
My all time high was when I wore my Fitbit while running a marathon. I think my total step count for that day was over 50000. That's never going to happen again... Haha
I should have had a fitbit when I lived in NYC - I would sometimes stumble walk a mile or more home in heels at 3 am, because I tended to not do well in cabs while drunk. My late night doorman loved me - he only saw me in two states: 1) drunk or 2) exhausted from working till after midnight.

I had a very rough morning/day. I woke up having a panic attack because I couldn't breathe, I felt like someone was sitting on my chest. So I had to bring myself down from that. Then I was hungry but knew if I moved too quick I'd get sick. My head hurt for hours.
I am feeling better now but still having the chest/breathing pain.

Thanks. I basically slept all day and was MIA. I finally got out of bed for breakfast at 9 and then was able to shove some Cheerios in my mouth and get the dog out. Then the dog went in his room and I slept upstairs until noon. I came downstairs and watched a bit of Spanglish and then the baby kitten and I went in the guest room and slept for a few more hours.
I'm hoping I can sleep tonight. I put on the Vicks vaporizer, propped all of my pillows up and took a decongestant.
