Whine: My health insurance got ALL sorts of jacked up this week. We're not offering health insurance through our business for 2016 because the costs skyrocketed and it's just not reasonable. We can get the same policy for 2/3 the cost through the marketplace, and it seems ridiculous to pay hundreds of dollars more than necessary just because it's a small business account rather than an individual account given that we own the darn business. Having said that, the paperwork is still under review for the individual account and they said it will be at least 10 and likely 14 business days before it's complete and I can get the new policy. I'm covered by medicaid for the next 2 weeks because I'm pregnant, but my OB doesn't take medicaid and I'm certainly not switching practices. So, I get to miss my next OB appt on 1/5 and wait for the new policy to kick in. Thanks Affordable Care, for being both inconvenient and not really all that affordable!
Wine: My grandma took the news that we're having 2 boys REALLY well. I did not anticipate that at all. (A girl would have been Audrey, which is my grandma's name. She's been telling everyone for WEEKS that 'little Audrey' was on the way") She was honored that we thought of her, and very glad they boys are healthy. YAY!
Whine: I have been doing a lot of work for work while on vacation. Nothing strenuous, and it has all been from the comfort of my couch/glider/kitchen table, but I definitely haven't unplugged at all. It annoys J, but I want to try to start Maternity Leave (whenever that happens) with as much of a clean slate as possible. Also, no one is forcing me to work. If I wanted to unplug, I could. So I really can't blame anyone but myself. I shall still whine about it though. :-p
Wine: I am excited for our NYE Day plans for tomorrow. We are dropping Reese off at the groomer in the morning, then we are heading to a mall by us (a different mall than we were at yesterday). We are planning to take William to Build-a-Bear and let him pick out an animal to build. This will be our first Build-a-Bear experience, and I am excited b/c I think William will totally love it and it can be something special we look back on that we did before baby came. After that we are planning to hit the Target that is attached to the mall for *one last trip* for essential things to stock up on pre-baby. I know, I know... I have said this before. We did a big Target run last week, and we did Costco yesterday, but I was a little disappointed in the health & beauty selection at Costco, so we need to go back to Target to supplement. Plus I have coupons and there are sales on some of our preferred products. So I plan to have a couple months worth of shampoo, deodorant, tooth paste, etc. stocked up by the end of the day tomorrow. After we pick up Reese from the groomer we will head home and order Chinese take-out, put William to bed at his regular time, and rent a movie. Perfect NYE for a lady who is 9 months pregnant, in my opinion!
