Second and more time mamas- If you have a favorite belly wrap for post baby, what was it? I know the Belly Bandit is popular, but kinda pricy. Worth it? Any other brands?
I hated the feeling of my stomach the first couple weeks with dd. It just felt so... loose. The hospitals ended up giving me one of their wraps because I needed to keep my back straight after my blood patch from my edit (long story). It was uncomfortable and had panels which I didn't love but I was happy to have something.
TIA. I feel like this is the type of thing you need real people recommendations for.

My doula specializes in this kind of belly wrapping, so imagine it's what I will do. I hope the yards of white muslin I bought for a sewing project I'll never do will work for material.

I'm a FTM but my Mom friends have told me the bamboo belly bandit is the way to go!! I'm going to try it. Starbuck128 -that belly wrap is way cool. Love it.
I got mine from the hospital after my c/s. I wore it for 8 weeks. After that I wore another ab wrap (like one that you would wear to the gym) for another few weeks. It was nice because after having my muscles stretched for so long and feeling "mushy" in my ab area the wrap held everything together. And since I was sore from the c/s the pressure from the wrap felt good.
After my 2nd, I just used the white Velcro abdominal binder I "borrowed" from the hospital when I was in residency. It was not very comfortable but it did give some support
Thanks everyone! I think it's something that's been around for years but is becoming "trendy". I just know that it really helped with my back/ abs last time and gave some extra support.

That looks lovely. Not smashy like most of the Velcro wraps I've seen. My sister hated hers. She said it would roll on her and not stay put. She returned it but didn't know what brand it was.

I'm a FTM, but wanted to add that it's all the fault of pinterest that I even know what this is. I think it showed up in a non-specific wrapping search I did (forgot to put baby before wrapping), or was suggested as something I may like afterwards. I assumed that might explain why it is seeming to be gaining popularity?

There is belly wrapping that is like putting plastic wrap and cream on your belly that's supposed to be "amazing and shrink your tummy". I think it just makes you loose water weight haha.
A belly wrap for post baby is a little different. It's more like a belly band/corset/ compression band that goes around you.

Oh I know about those but wouldn't think have made note of that type of quackery. The results I saw that piqued my curiosity looked like what @starbuck posted.

I was planning on using one just because I liked to wear spanx/supportive garments even before getting pregnant. I really like to feel extra "sucked in" and supported. Does anyone know of a good one that is also breathable? The ones I've seen haven't said anything about being breathable and I'm worried they'll make me a sweaty gross mess.

I bought the bamboo belly bandit last time around and will probably buy it again. It works great! The drawback (for me) is that I bought a small and outgrew it within 2-3 weeks and it would have been nice to buy the XS, but I wasn't willing to fork out the money for a second one. If you are on the cusp of two sizes, go with the smaller size because you will shrink pretty fast afterwards. I would also wait until pretty close to your due date to order so that its accurate.
