I have been doing Jazzercise 2-3 times a week and walking the stairs at my work a couple of times a day. I don't even want to think about stairs right now though, seeing as I feel like I am about to vomit.
My goal is also a walk around the neighborhood. And to do the stairs a few times at least at home (1 flight). We have a downstairs master so I don't do the stairs as much as I should
I have a health insurance physical tonight and was instructed to avoid vigorous physical activity for 24hs prior. I spent 25 minutes on the exercise bike and 20 walking on the treadmill.
I'm looking forward to running and using the elliptical for the rest of the workweek, plus one day each of lower and upper body strength training.
Hey all! My goal is to continue my exercise class twice a week, and to walk 2-3 times a week when the weather permits. I'm a distance runner when not pregnant, so I'm continuing the running during my class. It averages out to 3-4 miles a class. Though I am slowing it down a bit, so it's been more like 3 lately.
I've been dragging my butt to get to the classes though. So. Tired. On the plus side, I do feel really good for about an hour after exercising. Then it goes to shit again. But I'll take an hour of feeling great over nothing!
I was home sick from work today and it is extremely cold out so no walk. I'm doing some strengthening on the bosu ball and will walk up & down the stairs a few times too. It's better than nothing I guess

I was scratching my head for a good 2 minutes trying to figure out what the hell kind of workout machine a "Down StairMaster" was.

I get it now.
I should add that we don't have any kids yet. If we did I'm sure I would be upstairs a lot since that is where their bedrooms would be.

I walked briskly for an hour both yesterday and today. My evening nausea is best cured with via a long walk I learned over the weekend. DH gets to parent regardless because I'm either in a ball feeling miserable or walking it off in the cold.

I've found the same thing: the nausea is best when I'm exercising. That doesn't sound normal, but I won't complain!
So I was successful in going up and down the stairs a couple of times to get and return frozen fruit to the freezer. I also had a nap on the couch. So a pretty good fitness day all things considered.
Anyone have any recs for good maternity workout leggings/capris? My regular running capris are not cutting it this time.
I lived in my studio capris from lulu lemon with my first two kids. I pretty much wore out my two pair from daily use from second tri through several months post partum. Kinda pricey but I got my money's worth! I bought a size up and was fine.

Are your workout pants too tight already too? Even my yoga pants feel constrictive but the idea of buying maternity pants this early seems crazy to me...

My kids talked me into stopping at a park on the way home from preschool, and since we cracked freezing today, I agreed to it. I walked a few laps while they played. It wasn't a lot, but more than I've been doing, and I felt more energetic afterwards.

Yes! They are just cutting my midsection in a weird way and it looks awful. I look about 25 pounds heavier than I did 2 weeks ago. I don't recall this problem with either of my other pregnancies. I'll be buying maternity pants ASAP. No shame!

I don't think I've gained more than a few pounds but it seems like all my extra padding has migrated to my midsection.
I think I'm going to bribe myself - if I manage to complete one of the big tasks on my list next week (mostly cleaning/organizing) I will reward myself with maternity pants.

My walk last night was a bit shorter and slower because I had both kids in tow. Today it's supposed to rain so a walk seems unlikely. Maybe I didn sneak out at dome point when the rain lets up.
The only prenatal yoga near me is on a weekday at lunch time. Wtf. Who has time for that? If you are a first timer you probably are currently working. If not, you have kids at home or are working. It just doesn't make sense to me. I just don't see myself being able to take off an hour plus travel time to do it each week, and I'm bummed.
coffeequeen14 Could you try a prenatal yoga video? I ordered one last week and it just arrived. I'll try it this weekend and can give a recommendation then.
As for me, got in my lower body strength workout today, plus 25 minutes on the bike, and ran two miles yesterday. I'm really happy with that.
