Well I haven't heard from my parents yet so unsure how well it went on their end, but they didn't call me to come get him MOTN so I'm assuming it was okay.
At first I wasn't nervous about leaving DS for the weekend in a few weeks, but he's been refusing his bottles at daycare. (Sometimes he'll take one or two, but hasn't been drinking all 3) My mom has been having a hard time giving him one the last few times she's watched him, so it makes me very nervous for him to go a whole weekend.
Eta: my parents are watching him Friday night, so we'll see how that goes. Fingers crossed!
H is back at work today and I am trying to get back in our routine.
A friend is dropping their dog off for us to watch until Friday. I am happy to do it although H isn't a fan of dogs on furniture so it's stressing me out lol. Not that I am a fan but I am more tolerant.
I had a major mom fail last night. I let DS have a bite of my black bean burger. Shortly after, the area around his mouth got really red and irritated. I then realized there was chili powder in the burger mixture. I put Vaseline on it to help keep it from chapping. The area around his mouth was really dry this morning, but at least not chapped. Bad mommy moment!
I also went on my first run last night after a month of being sick. It was a horrible pace and I was huffing and puffing at the end (damn congestion!) but I did it Now I just need to commit to running at least three times a week if I don't want to die during my race in February, lol.

Day 2 of the new routine. Even though my commute is shorter I'm not able to head home as early as I was from my old job - so last night I got home at 6 and the whole evening felt so short and rushed. I know it will get better but its going to be a rough first few months, and it being so cold and dark doesn't help.
lilyelayne, yay for surviving your night away - now you can get excited for your trip!
DH took off early this morning and is away for the night so I'm flying solo. The morning was a bit rough bc it was hard dealing with two and this weather, -15c this am.
Just hanging out this am and then we'll do another daycare visit this afternoon.
Glad to hear everyone is having good nights away from their LO's. I look forward to mine...whenever that might be.
We've done nights away separately (husband works OOT most weekdays, I've gone to conference and husband stayed home) but we've never both been gone. The week after his birthday we're going to Orlando with my community band and baby will be staying with my parents for a couple nights. I try not to think about it...
In other news, I froze my butt off doing car rider duty this morning. And, to make that better, the A/C is blowing cold air in the classrooms down my hallway. Nice.
Hi ladies... Been busy here for new years, etc. I took off work yesterday and had a ME day since I had not been able to take a day off work since having DD.
At work... Don't want to be. But it is what it is.

Ha! That is going to be me. I have to run this week.. and must do a long run to get my butt back into it. I have the Louisiana 1/2 next sunday.. it is not going to be pretty. And the glass slipper challenge in WDW in Feb. (10k on Saturday, 1/2 marathon on Sunday)
Lately Annie has wanted like two more bottles a day...wtf. growth spurt? I'm not fighting it. She would never calm down or CIO - too much stubborn in her.
Doing laundry today. Then DD1 has swim class tonight - it's no longer parent participation. DH was sad and happy about that. I'm a little mad at the place we take her. We specifically asked for a class with her favorite coach. Then when we got there last week, they switched schedules around. What was I gonna do about it at that point? We were standing there all ready to go. So DD1 is disappointed but I'm trying to talk up her new coach. Anyway, it sucks bc there scheduling has been difficult and they precharge for the month (needless to say we've spent a lot of money for missing classes too).
dreemkin, lilyelayne, everything's going ok here. We just had a rough few months with L constantly sick (a lot of daycare sicks, including hand, foot & mouth), then I was off work for vacay for half of Dec. Now I'm back at work picking up the pieces. Hopefully with the new year, L gets healthier. I felt like I'm doing something wrong when our friends who are infectious disease specialist and pediatrician over for dinner. I had some questions about L's meds, they were shocked L's been prescribed those. My poor baby.
As for myself, I've been struggling with some issues. Something caused AF to skip town, I'm still waiting for that ho bag to visit. But I started seeing a different nutritionist (my previous one was so overweight and I just couldn't take anything she said seriously). All in all, I'm definitely thinking more about quitting my job to stay home. I've loosely set some deadlines for myself. I guess we'll see.
cougarette your parents are on baby duty instead of MIL? Yay! kaydee0402 sorry LO had a bad reaction! DS eats chili just fine so don't feel like a bad mom - it's not a rule that babies react poorly to moderate spice! PikoPiko you're a great mom, and it's not your fault L has been sick. I pray you both have a much healthier year ahead. Considering staying at home! Big change!
My BFF's baby is up to 2lb 12oz!! They're weaning her off oxygen (tho not there yet) and she will get to try a bottle soon! I wish I could AW pictures of her here because ohhhh she's so precious & they can dress her in clothes now instead of just hospital attire so she's got style too.

Well, I guess I should have read this thread yesterday. DH is trying to talk me into going on a long weekend trip in April to a wedding. I have never left DS overnight, so I've been hesitant. I know I'll have to leave him sometime and H really wants to go and says he won't go without me, so I think I just need to pull off the band-aid. I know that he'll be fine with my parents, it's more me having to emotionally deal with it. It helps that so many of you have done/are doing it as well.
