DD was up at least six times last night because she's sick. Not sure, too tired to remember, but did I sign up for this again? That can't be right, can it?

manybellsdown, aww no! I hate nights like that. I hope she feels better soon!
Today is pretty slow. I have some stuff to do but not a ton and I am so distracted. I am getting my hair done tonight and I am turning my ombre into a balayage so I can't wait! I want to do the opal hair coloring but my hair is so dark I think it will look stupid. I'm obsessed with changing up my hair so I am excited!

I'm way to invested and emotional regarding my current slipper situation. Yup. DH bought me a pair for Christmas that were SO UGLY. They were l.l. bean, so nice, but light blue - fringe - so 70's and tacky. So I had him exchange them for another pair that I love but are a bit too big already so they slide on my heel and hurt. But they don't carry them in half-sizes, and a whole size down would be too big.
I want warm, comfy, nice, cozy, cute slippers and cannot find them. I told DH I would take this off his plate since I'm being obnoxious about it - but I know i won't spend the same kind of money for slippers for myself. And i'm way to concerned about this situation.
Flair Underwood, I feel you on the need for slippers! I have Reynaud's, so I can never get warm. My favorite (cute) slippers developed holes in the bottom, and the ones I replaced them with are wide for my feet and slip off when I'm walking up and down stairs. Probably dangerous. Sigh. I hope you're able to find your dream slippers...your feet deserve it!
Flair Underwood, I have a pair of Ugg slippers and I love them. They're stupidly expensive but I've had them for a few years now and have definitely gotten my money's worth, and they're still going strong.

Haha! Ombre fades dark to light. Balayage is like ombre but with highlighting to make it look more natural. Opal hair is colored hair, like an opal. I want to do something crazy for a short period of time which is why I want opal but who knows if I could even pull it off!
Today is DSs 4 year old check up. He loves the doctor because they have a huge train table. I guess I should tell the pedi about his upcoming new patient too. Then I may be moving offices at work due to my promotion but that may come later this week. Lots to do at work but nothing too stressful yet.
Sorry to keep venting about this, but it's what I've got going on.
I'm going to try my best to tell my boss I can't go back for day 2 of inventory counts. It's 3-5 hours in the car and then hours of walking around on cement floors.
I hate using my pregnancy as an excuse because I'm afraid I'm going to make myself sound like I can't do my job. Every other year I haven't had physical problems with doing this task but yesterday was too much for me & we didn't even finish so technically I should go back & help finish...
Currently getting an oil change and then a car wash if I can get DS to last that long, he's bring really sweet so far eating his breakfast sbd watching the iPad while we wait.

I think you should at least talk to him. That is a lot of stress to put on your body right now and you already did a super long day 1.

origamimommy oooooh fun hair! Thanks for the cheat sheet. I haven't even had my hair CUT in 6+ months. I should do that this week. I've never colored or highlighted my hair. I'm a natural redhead so I've never wanted to mess with that, but sometimes I feel like I'm missing out!
Oh hai everyone. Traveling, plus the cold that will not go away has kept me from the internets. I've missed you all! I hope that everyone had a great holiday (if celebrating) and a wonderful new year.
I'm freezing, hungry, and ready for the weekend. No me gusta reality. This back to work thing suuuuuuucks. DS has a dentist appointment this afternoon, so that will be fun.
origamimommy, I lurve your hair ideas! GOmamab15, I'm in team talk to boss as well. manybellsdown, I hope DD is on the mend soon! txmommy14, good luck on errands with child. It is such a delicate balance.
I had my OB appointment today and she couldn't find the heartbeat which was scary but I also had that feeling that everything was alright and I had just felt movement earlier. She brought in an ultrasound machine and everything was ok thankfully. She also said if she had to bet she thinks it's a girl. Was not expecting to find this out! She did say she saw something but thinks it's the cord. So not a for sure but definite lines so I'm thinking we are having another girl. I'm trying not to get set in it until we have our appointment Monday but it's hard! I don't think we will have another so one of each would have been nice but I'm excited for DD to have a sister. We also already have everything since their birthdays are a month apart. Although there could be a chance they don't fit. We also have the nursery ready with girl stuff and we know more of what to expect. Plus I was having trouble with boy names. We shall see for sure Monday but exciting
What a relief birdhut, that sounds like an initially scary visit but glad everything looks good now.
It's raining again, the only rain appropriate shoes I own are a pair of hiking shoes and my gym shoes. I'm not a boot person but it has become necessary.
birdhut , so glad everything was ok!! And exciting that you may have a girl! That is neat you got a little preview
Thanks! I looked at some boy ultrasounds at 16 weeks and it did not look like that. So I'm pretty sure she was correct. I hate to spend the $70 on an ultrasound Monday but otherwise we have to wait 6 more weeks and I'm impatient and what if she's not right and we go the next 6 weeks thinking it's a girl and it's not. I mean I know that happens all the way to the end but I'm hoping Monday will be reassurance.

I would do the same thing you are doing and go on Monday just to make sure.
Oh hai, guys. I've been completely MIA for like three weeks... holidays, DH's time off, yada yada. I've missed being here! I've been creepy lurking the last couple days but wanted to jump in on the slipper discussion. THESE ARE THE BEST: www.llbean.com/llb/shop/18664?feat=503422-GN3&page=women-s-wicked-good-moccasins. Flair Underwood, you wouldn't regret it. I wear them about 23.9 hours a day.

teggy20... Those are the ones I have that are too big in a 7..... I typically wear a 7 and an 8 in running shoes so I'm sure a 6 would be WAY too small. And they don't come in half sizes.
Flair Underwood, ah bummer... I do wish they had half sizes! In this case, I second the Ugg slippers; my MIL has a pair and loves them the most even though they cost a million dollars.

Me too! I would probably not have spent the money on them for myself but my MIL bought them for me and I love them. I definitely think they are worth the money and would totally replace them when these wear out. I even bought my mom a pair!
