Finally decided on something this morning. My mil is amazing with a sewing machine. I'm going to find some similar fabric I like and she's going to make this.
No outfit here either. Yet. Since we're team green, and I'm not a fan of most things gender neutral, we are waiting til Feb to pick out an outfit, since one will have to be returned.

These babies are so screwed. I was so prepared and on top of things with DD. This time around I'm all "meh, I'll get to it sometime". I've got a few new things for them to wear, nothing special though. And despite my husbands protest, they will probably be in matching outfits.

Yeah I'm with you on being less prepared. But I def think matching or at least coordinating outfits would be so cute.

The only thing I know for certain is a fleece spider hat I got from Old Navy back when I was in college (and a baby was nowhere close to being in my future). Basically it's just a fleece black hat with eyes and spider legs coming off the sides. It is so fn cute and I kept it this entire time. She could be naked for all I care as long as she's wearing the hat.
I just ordered 2 of these sailboat iron ons but in our colors (Navy, light pink, grey) one big and one small, I am thinking the small one on a onsie for the going home outfit and the big one on a blanket or as the center square on a second quilt.

Quoting myself, but last night we came across this and both agreed this is a must. Since we found out, we've been telling our cat, Link, that he is getting a baby sister. We are so weird, lol.

Please tell me Link is named after Brendan Fraser's character in Encino Man. Oh how I love that movie.

Although I do love that movie, he is not. He's named after the Nintendo character. See the uncanny resemblance when he was a kitten?

Finally ready to post ours! I had to wait until my mom came out for my shower because she was bringing this sweet little yellow blanket and newborn hat, both of which a dear friend of our family knitted for the baby. She's not well enough to do this anymore, but she used to knit a newborn hat for EVERY BABY born in our local hospital. Yes, you read that correctly. It's a small county, but still! She's one amazing lady.
As for the baby, we will bring her home in either the terry onesie on the left or the kimono top and duck pants on the right.
We'll have to hike it up around his waist (and buy some Baby Legs), but I couldn't resist this little gown and cap set to match his whale themed nursery:

Thers's a woman who knits hats for our birth center. We got an adorable green fuzzy one for DD1. I think it's amazing that women do this out of the generosity of their hearts. Bless them!
