We are hopefully upgrading to a bigger house this spring/summer. We decided not to even consider the area we're currently in. We love it but the public school system is mediocre and we don't love our daughter's private school.
I don't want to insult anyone because so many private school parents love the school and work so hard to support it and recruit more students. I just nod and smile when parents talk about how great something is or try to get me to participate in different things planned for next year. I feel like a big fat liar. I'm seriously considering not telling the other moms we're moving so I don't have to listen to a sales pitch for why we should stay.
I made the mistake of telling my BFF that we want to live in a better school district just in case we need/want to send our kids there at some point. Her kid goes to the public school and she's very proud of it. It's no secret that the high school ranks below average on all state metrics but she and many others think it will improve and I got subjected to multiple lectures/sales pitches from her on how great the district is or will be.
I think I am just going to straight-up lie about our reasons for moving from now on. Apparently school choice is the preschool parent's version of breast vs. formula or SAHM vs. working mom.
I refuse to even look at DD's daycare menu. I know it's complete crap but I can't do anything about it, so I'm pretending ignorance is bliss. It just kills me that my 3 year old is given corn dogs for lunch.

I am a sahm. My kid had a hot dog for lunch.
Plus, a pickle and yogurt......and part of my banana.

There's nothing wrong with an occasional hot dog, but I feel like they feed the kids nothing but shit. Like, I feel as if I need to give her healthy food 100% of the time she's home, since daycare gives her junk. That's my junk opportunity they're taking away!

This is true. He gets a hot dog maybe twice a week. He loves them. Le sigh. He doesn't eat much meat.

I totally get this! I want to be the one to get treats or bake cookies with my kid. When I hear she has birthday cupcakes 3x in a week at school and the babysitter took her out for doughnuts and baked cookies with her, I feel like I can't

Exactly! On a similar note, her old daycare would plop the kids in front of the tv and it kiiiillllled me. Fuck you that's my screen time! Fortunately we don't have to deal with that anymore.

I would be annoyed if I couldn't feed my kid shot because they ate it at daycare. I would also spend a lot more time hiding in a closet while eating shit so that my kid couldn't see me. So definitely lose lose there.

I think I've hit the "I'm hungry all the time and MUST EAT" stage since I woke up in the middle of the night and had a banana and have eaten eggs, a whole avocado, pretzels, waffles with syrup and chocolate chip bread all for breakfast...but spaced out between an hour. I did wake up STARVING!
I just took 10 minutes ripping up a potato roll to look like chips so that my kid would be fooled into thinking that she was eating the same thing as I was. No tostitos for babies. I fear the day she's smart enough to figure me out.
I have had my bra unclipped all day at work... intentionally. I'm wearing a cami with a shelf bra under my shirt so everything is still being held in place... but I just could not deal today.

I'm the exact opposite, at least lately. DD eats SUPER healthy at DC, so I've been justifying feeding her not so healthy food at home because I haven't felt like cooking for about a month now. This week we've had pizza twice and McDonald's once (I loathe fast food and only ever want to eat it when I'm pg). I did at least give her fruits and veggies on the side.
