I'm working today, and it seems like all the *interesting* people chose to come see me today. I'm unfortunately also working this weekend both days. Boo.
Also, after DS's urgent care appointment yesterday evening he now has to go to his pedi this afternoon with different symptoms. I'm pretty sure he might have hand, foot, and mouth disease. He's got a blistery rash on his feet and on his back. Nothing in his mouth that I can see though. I wish I could be with him!
Dreaming, have so much fun this weekend! sorry you can't enjoy a cocktail on your flight
babyzebra, oh no! I'm so sorry he is still so sick. Hopefully he feels better soon.
I looked up recipes for non-alcoholic margaritas today to try tonight... I have been craving one so hopefully this will come close to the real thing. frecklesnbrains I think you made some fun mocktails - did you like any of them???
Dreaming I have 2 (maybe 3) trips taking place in Feb and March and I'm not looking forward to sober plane rides. I had one in the first tri at about 5w and it was no fun. One trip is bi-coastal so that should be fun...not!
I just had a student tell me "the devil is more polite that you are" as he was being escorted out of my room. I'm glad it's Friday, it's been a long week.
I had my 16 week OB appt for all of 15 minutes this morning. Got to hear the strong heartbeat (152bmp) and I forgot all of my questions to ask. I'm going to have to start writing things down!
Kevinmac, whoa that's an intense comment, glad it's Friday for you!
An alcoholic drink of any kind sounds amazing. Recently I made a concoction of grapefruit juice, lemonade and lemon juice over ice and it tasted like something I might make with gin, could have been fooled that it was non alcoholic. I think the sour and sharpness of the lemon juice masqueraded as the possible taste of gin.
I just got the best hair cut ever, the cut is nice but my hairdresser massaged my head for a full 20 minutes whilst washing my hair. It's the first time I have seen her, it won't be the last.

I spent the ENTIRE day yesterday shopping for a dress for the wedding next weekend. I must of tried on 70 dresses and ended up with something plain that I'm really not happy with. I just wanted something that I felt confident in but had a little extra wow factor. I have been looking forward to this wedding for a long time! I still have the week but I'm already tired of shopping! Blah
shan, it doesn't sound like what you are experiencing but reminded me of lightening crotch from my last pregnancy. For all who have never experienced this, there has never been a more appropriate term, it feels exactly like it sounds.
I already knew I was done after this baby but definitely confirmed 100% now.

My job situation has been in limbo, and now I stitched it up. I am teaching a class at a state university (just got back from the interview) and continuing to work at the hospital part time. It's pretty close to perfect for me. Happy dance!
It's confirmed that DS has hand, foot, and mouth. He also has impetigo. He's doing alright considering. DH and I are convinced that we are going to catch these from him. Now I'm googling how to prevent getting HFM and impetigo!

I don't know what those are, but good luck healing and preventing the spread!
babyzebra DS had HFM about 6 months ago and I did read that it's rare for adults to get it, but that it's very contagious for kids. We did lots of pedialyte popsicles and hanging out at home. I don't know anything about impetigo but I hope you guys don't get it and he feels better soon!

Omg the lightening crotch! I didn't have it last time but I've heard of it. The first time o felt it I knew exactly what it was because it literally does feel exactly the way it sounds.
Between that, the literal non stop vomiting, and the RLP. I am so over this shit already. I thought I wanted a third but I don't think my body can do this again.
I found an Ergo baby carrier on Clearance at Target today for 50% off. It was still expensive ($69), but half of what it would usually cost. Why does his excite me so? I'm becoming my mother.

ArgyleEnigma, Unlike Target's sale items, which are company wide, Target's clearance items are on a store by store basis, so the Ergo could be marked down near you, but it's not a guarantee. Also, the amount of the clearance markdowns vary from store to store, whereas sale markdown amounts are uniform.
Nonetheless, I would still recommend a Target trip ASAP, because even if the Ergo isn't on Clearance at the Target closest to you, something else might be on Clearance. I went to three different Targets today, and while the Clearance merchandise varied, they all seemed to have placed a lot on Clearance recently.
Using my trips today as an example: Target #1 had the BOB Revolution SE Stroller on Clearance for $237. Target #2 had that same BOB stroller but it wasn't on Clearance; it was full price - $399. However, Target #2 had the Britax B-Agile/B-Safe Travel System stroller on Clearance for $199 (regularly $399). I wanted the Britax stroller but it had already sold out by the time I got to Target #2 (likely due to the awesome price). Target #3 had the Ergo on clearance for $69 (normally $140), whereas neither Target #1 or #2 had the Ergo marked down at all.
