The only concern traveling on the first trimester is that you don't know if you'll have morning sickness. I had none, traveling was super easy for me. I had friends who were so sick they couldn't get out of the house (rare). Most likely, if you are in first tri, you might be uncomfortable, but it shouldn't prevent you from traveling.
Cruise ships won't let you board after 24 weeks, and most doctors don't want you flying after 36 weeks. But it sounds like your honeymoon is close enough to your wedding that you won't be 24+ weeks.
ETA: I agree with others, I wouldn't alter travel plans because you "might" be pregnant.
I traveled for a week, a total of six flights cross country at 21 weeks pregnant. Zero problems. Be sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and feeling well. Also, here is a link to an article I found summarizing airline rules for flying prego. You may want to call the customer service number for your airline to confirm once you book your reservations. In my opinion flying is perfectly safe unless instructed otherwise by your doc.
It isn't a question of HOW pregnant, it's pregnant in general. Be it 3 days or 13 weeks.
Then what is the question? Can It be done? Sure. Do some women have complications? Yes. Does that mean you will? Who knows. Will you even be pregnant? No one knows. I don't know what you're looking for.
Realistic problems you may run into while flying pregnant in tri 1 & 2 (from someone who flew long-haul at 8-ish and 16-ish weeks) -morning sickness -tiredness -needing to drink a lot -alternating between no appetite and being ravenous -needing to pee a lot -being advised against carrying heavy things -being advised to wear flight socks
By all means go for the insurance option but read the small print and get one that allows cancellations just because or lets you move dates. There are few, if any, insurers who will pay out for anything pregnancy-related.
Thank you for all the ladies who shared experiences and gave me their opinions! That was all I was after. Not sure why it was confusing to some.
I have tried for a year so I am well, well aware I have no guarantees as to if I will be pregnant or not. But the trip is happening. So I just didn't want to try to conceive in the off chance it DID happen, if going on the trip would mean I would miscarry or harm the baby. (one article I read on the interwebz stated flying in first tri often results in miscarriage.)
Didn't want to take any chances. Since it seems I can travel without jeopardizing the health and safety of a baby, it looks like I'm in the clear.

As a science nerd I can tell you that there have been no links between miscarriage and airplane flight. In one article miscarriage rates were reduced in people who have travelled in first trimester (keep in mind that it is spurious correlation and flying will not reduce your chance of a miscarriage). If you decided to travel and happen to be pregnant you aren't at a greater risk of miscarriage so have fun!!! As a fellow Canadian I definitely am jealous of your winter Alaskan vacation.

You got exactly what you said you wanted- opinions and experiences. No one was confused and you're coming off as bratty.

Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that. How condescending.

Probably because it was a stupid question. Ridiculous questions usually confuse me.

I don't know about anyone else, but I rarely felt like getting off the couch when pregnant. I had no complications, just loose joints and zero energy. Hike around Alaska? Nope.
No one can tell you how you're going to feel when pregnant. Obvs there are women who run marathons when pregnant, and there are also women who barely make it through the work day and go to bed at 7 PM.
Here's a question to ask yourself- would you be immensely disappointed if you went to Alaska and didn't get to go snowshoeing or cross-country skiing (or whatever it is that people do there) because you were tired, weren't up to it, were barfing in the bathroom, etc? Or would you be content with the possibility of doing one or two leisurely activities a day and chilling out in the hotel a lot if you were worn out? If that possibility would make the trip feel like a huge waste of time and money, perhaps you should consider waiting.

I'm also not sure why she felt the need to ask here and on the dump? I agree that's it's a dumb question.
