Hmmm how to make a really long story short.. I ♡ to read fairytales and folklore from around the world. I also ♡ plants, herbs, and flowers. Ive stumbled across stories about periwinkle and their magic and dig them quite a lot. One of my tattoos is a frog faerie woman holding periwinkle flowers in her hands and in her hair, while she crouches (she's supposed to be on a lilly pad but the tat is yet unfinished).. and daydreaming. That's the short version. I'm an effing hippie.
ETA would I do it again? Meh. I always wish I left off the daydreams part. I feel like if I just saw it and didnt know me, it sounds like NOT me at all. I was extra whimsical that day apparently.
@poppyc8 I always call you Poppy-Kate which is better than the poppycock that I thought it was for so long. @jemomma NOOOOO. HOW WILL I KNOW WHO YOU ARE?!!
My user name is DH and My initials and the month we were married. The 13 was supposed to be the year we were married but I obviously wasn't thinking clearly that day as we were married in 2011. Oops. And no, I wouldn't use it again but don't want to change it now.
so is junch817 actually active there? That part sketched me out considering how rarely she interacted here.
Off and on? Lol. None of us are extremely active over there, since most of us post here still. There is a doc on the group page that matches Facebook name to TCF name and baby name/birthdate.
@jemomma I've always looked at your name like 'joe mama' in ghettospeak like "joe mama's so fat!..." lol I know that's not it, but I still read it that way!
I changed my avatar months ago from myself and a furry to the Pittsburgh skyline. I bet no one noticed.
So is the FB group worth joining?
I noticed when you did it. I'm totally in love with you avatar!!
The Facebook group was really going for a bit but has slowed down a lot. Hopefully we can get it going again, a few more people have joined. I'm always mobile and personally it's so much easier for me to look at and be a part of. I really want to be more active here but I always have such a hard time keeping up.
@jimbobcooter someone on our local news website used that name to post a comment on a recent article. My first thought was JBC is here?! And then I realized we are no where near each other and that made no sense.

I had an avatar pic in mind, and chose my name based off of that. It bugs me a little that I couldn't use an apostrophe. I mean it to be possessive rather than plural. Despite that I would probably use it again, no super strong feelings either way.
Hey all! Any and all are still welcome to join FB. The other lovely ladies over there said I should take a peek over here again, and I see there is some interest, so please come over. Post as much or as little as you'd like. I just could never keep up over here so FB worked better for me ?

budders , for the longest time I associated your name with South Park. It was quite a revelation when I figured out Budders = dog.
It is really neat finding out the stories behind the names!
I haven't seen South Park in like 15 years, and nothing is ringing a bell. What is the connection?
He is a classmate of the boys, kind of naive/sheltered. Worries a lot. And Google just told me his name is actually Butters, in my memory it was Budders. It has been a very, very long time since I've seen it also.
JEM are the first initIals of my 3 kids' names. I added the "omma" to be clever.
I would definitely pick a different name now. I chose this during my pregnancy brain days and could not really come up with anything else that fit my personality enough. I would change it but I don't want to confuse anyone lol. Like who the heck is this bitch? I have also thought of changing my avatar too, but again - confusion.

Oh guess I should do my name thing. We moved from the SF Bay Area to SA TX in 2013. It's not my usual name but I couldn't think of anything creative. I suck at that shit.

We were just recently married ( 6/21/14 ) and got pregnant so Mrs was still new and exciting when I made my username for TD in sept '14;) Monogrammed because I love monograms, obvi. Life motto- if it doesn't move, monogram it!
My sn is just a nickname that my sister calls me based on my real name. Nothing fun over here.
I created it when I signed up for the knot. I didn't do forums back then. I wish I could change it. I'm super bored by it. But Idk what I would change it to.
budders I know a lot of people that have named their pets butters after the south park character, so I assumed that was where budders got his name.

I kind of already touched on this in another thread, but I'll elaborate here.
How did you come up with it?
Candylandycane was a nickname given to me in law school by my close friends.
What is the meaning behind it?
It's a play off my name and my deep, DEEP love for all things candy. I survived off sugar and caffeine for the most part during that time. My gf also drew a caricature.
Would I use it again?
Probably. It's a term of endearment so I like it. But didn't know until I posted here that it could be so easily misread. That would be my only reason for changing it.
Eta: she drew this on her MacBook during class if that's any indication of the type of students we were. Lol.
