#1 - I cannot believe Budders is not his real name!!! o_0
#2 - I am a Mrs. My last name starts with a D. I was born in 1982. Not so exciting here. I would chose it again, because I am lazy and don't know what else I would use.
I kind of already touched on this in another thread, but I'll elaborate here.
How did you come up with it?
Candylandycane was a nickname given to me in law school by my close friends.
What is the meaning behind it?
It's a play off my name and my deep, DEEP love for all things candy. I survived off sugar and caffeine for the most part during that time. My gf also drew a caricature.
Would I use it again?
Probably. It's a term of endearment so I like it. But didn't know until I posted here that it could be so easily misread. That would be my only reason for changing it.
Eta: she drew this on her MacBook during class if that's any indication of the type of students we were. Lol.
I am a fellow candy addict. The hardest thing for me about eating healthy is avoiding all the candy.
Yes!!! The struggle is real. I had a handful of candy corn for breakfast. Like old ass leftover Halloween candy corn I hid from myself.
Well now you've totally given away your identity. I recognize you! I swear I've seen a cartoon girl with a pink shirt and blue pants in the supermarket!
My name on td was my first name/ middle name. I thought that would be side-eyed here since everyone is all internet safety. I stalked around and couldn't come up with anything creative, so I kind of mimicked someone on my local board. My dogs are my original babies though and I still love them just as much as pre-Z. I probably wouldn't use it again, though just because it's not very original. I was just excited to come out of lurk-dome.
My username was my nickname in high school. My maiden name is sort of strange, and a mom called me "that gilderhouse" girl in middle school, and it stuck. Except by high school the whole house part was dropped. There were people that didn't even know my real name because EVERYONE called me Gilder. It's even on the back of my letter jacket.
40 was my first basketball number.
I would probably use it again. My only negative is that to anyone I knew in high school, my true identity is pretty obvi.
ETA: Fun fact - my high school boyfriend stole a road sign that said Gilder on it for my birthday my senior year. I still have it.
