I honestly thought today was Wednesday so sad it isn't. I'm also so exhausted today yesterday I was feeling excellent and today I'm just exhausted! And so much nausea this morning thank goodness for Starbucks passion tea lemonade
Anyone feel shaky? Like low blood sugar shaky? I'm trying to eat as much as I can but it's tough. Anyone else feel this way?
I struggled a bit with this when I was pregnant with DD. Just try to take it easy, eat some protein mixed with carbs. And as always, drink lots of water.
I almost fell asleep at my desk. Now I'm having my first coffee in a week--I haven't felt like having any because I was nauseated. I'm feeling more human already.

I did last week but it went away once I got something to eat. It freaked me out a bit b/c I've never had that reaction before. I agree w/ musicgirl re protein + carbs and try to stay as hydrated as possible.
So apparently I am big enough that I must actually look pregnant. Two people have asked me if I am pregnant today.
How did you respond?
My MIL was bugging DH about whether we were still seeing the doctor (meaning the RE, even though she knows we are out of insurance coverage). He simply said, if we ever have something to share, we will. It worked this time.
I just told them. My office is divided into two parts, I work for the corporate side, but we also have our own telephone call center. I've already told my department, these were people in the call center. At this point I don't really care who knows. I told extended family and friends yesterday. I plan on announcing on facebook in a few weeks.
I've been asked if I was pregnant when I wasn't, which is really embarrassing. I honestly would never ask anyone if they were pregnant.

I am sorry you are so sleepy! Thanks for the passion tea lemonade idea! I love those things.

I had shakey hands one day, but I doubt it was low blood sugar. I eat all the time. I've also gone hot and dizzy once. I thought I was going to pass out.

Obviously in this case they are right. But do people not realize that it is NEVER acceptable to ask a woman if she is pregnant??
This happened to me the first IVF cycle we did. I was so upset, then realized I work with a lot of idiots so there's that.
I had that happen in the middle of IVF #3 and after my last failed FET with donor embryos. I don't understand why people think it is ok to ask if someone is pregnant.

there is also a small chance that they heard I was pregnant and just verifying the rumor. My office is like gossip central. I am surprised I haven't gotten more comments yet.

So I went to visit my grandmother literally the day after I got a BFP, so I was like 11 DPO. I walked in her house and she goes "are you pregnant?!" I immediately was like "no!! what?! why?!" And she said oh I'm sorry, your shirt is all baggy and you usually don't wear stuff like that. I was like uuum yes I do, I've had this shirt for 2 years...but thanks...? I could tell she felt so awkward and horrible lol

LT for hugs. I get hot flashes too First tri can suck it
twinkie0612 glad you could handle it well. People are so bold! I got asked 4 days after having DS if I was having a boy or girl. I was like "I had a boy Monday, he's right here".
Ugh, not fun. Pizza is the only thing I want to eat right now. We are getting donato's thin crust - which normally I hate thin crust but donato's gets a pass. Give me all the carbs!
OMG I just looked at Donato's online menu and I'm salivating! Unfortunately the closest one to me is about an hour and a half away!
It was totally delicious, however, I also had a stomachache afterwards. Although, these days it is just par for the course. Not pizzas fault, I'll still eat it again tomorrow...
Is anyone taking Reglan? Any side effects/suggestions? My 4 diclectin a day aren't working anymore and instead of adding Zofran and upping my diclectin (like they did last time) the NVP (nausea, vomiting, pregnancy) clinic is putting me on Reglan, Diclectin 4x a day, B6 50 mg 2x a day, Zantec 2x a day, probiotics 1x a day and gravol up to 4x a day. I guess the reglan empties your stomach quicker? any experience on whether it helped?
Yes, I know I am on a lot of meds but I didn't gain more that 10-15 lbs last time (all in 3rd tri) and had a preemie due to maternal unwellness (including high blood pressure but I think malnutrition had a lot to do with it considering I vomited none stop for 8 months even with IV meds) so they are trying a different approach this time.
I know this is probably no help, but DD was on reglan (I'm pretty sure) when she was 6-7 months old. I don't recall any out of the ordinary side effects other than it didn't help. But that's a whole other story.
Huuuuge craving for homemade macaroni salad. Lucky for me I have nearly all the usual ingredients. I might suck it up and walk over to the store to pick up green onion and another bell pepper, but I might not. Either way, eggs are boiled and cooling, its naptime now. If I dont fall asleep with DD I will go peel eggs, boil noodles, chop veggies... omg can't wait for dinnertime. SO isn't a big fan but IDGAF. LOL
To those of you who like the starbucks tea plus lemonade, if you like raspberry, get a trenta size (whatever the huge one is) with 3 pumps raspberry, and 3 pumps classic sweetener. I do it with black tea and lemonade but I think it would be good with any tea. Soooo yum. Tastes like summer!
@suesposa My grandparents lived in Sacramento (well, they are moving next week to the Bay Area, which is closer to us) for the past twenty plus years...we've taken DD to visit them many times. There are definitely some fun children's places to go to, a burgeoning food scene, the most amazing macaron ice cream sandwiches (Ginger Elizabeth), ice cream/slush mix (Gunther's)...the old Sacramento area is pretty cute too. I don't know where the base is, but I'm assuming you will have cars, which is pretty necessary. Sacramento is just an hour and a half from the Bay Area, which will be fun for day trips. Good luck with the move!

twinkie0612, I got asked when I was about 20 if I was expecting. I said no, and the guy was like "oh well you kind of look it". Wtf dude? I was like 130 lbs and didn't think I looked remotely pregnant, but what a blow to my self esteem!
When I was pregnant with ds, I had the biggest belly ever. I was so tired of every stranger I passed asking when I was due that I wanted to start answering that I wasn't pregnant just to see the reaction.

I did that with DD. I was like 8.5 months pregnant and people would ask me when I was due and I would tell them I'm not pregnant with a very serious face. It was hilarious to watch them stammer.

My sister had that issue with her last pregnancy. Some lady asked her if it was any day now and she told her she still had 6 weeks. The lady then asked if she was having twins. She just said nope, only one.

I decided the reason for this is Rachel from Friends. Look at her when she goes into labor. She doesn't look 9 months pregnant.

I haven't caught up today on posts. Nanny called in sick so I am now behind in work and life. Spent the evening puking so no chance of catching up today. It's eight pm so I might as well just go to sleep!
WHOA! No genetic testing for us. Just got the cost estimate and it would cost us $1400 OOP. Our super expensive insurance will cover $6.
Oh.
Bummer. :-(
Eh, it was predictable. We have a pretty high deductible so I anticipated a high cost (but not that high, lawd). We are having an NT scan so that will be good enough
