I didn't have the sweats, but milk was EVERYWHERE. I would wait until after that leaky crazy stage if it was me.
Ah I forgot about this. The leaky stage when even lanisoh pads can't contain the milk.
I got a waterproof mattress protector for our new mattress. It was about $40 so I just wash when I do sheets. A few drops of lavender EO get all the funk out.
We have a fantastic waterproof mattress cover. When I say waterproof I mean "My 2 year old dumped a jug of maple syrup on my bed and not a drop touched the mattress"
Do you this you sweat more during summer with it? I was complaining about how hot our bed can get and DH swears it's the cover.
@penny2013 were waiting until we're done having kids then getting a new mattress. I'll never forget waking up and seeing my sweat body mark on the sheets I was so intrigued and grossed out at the same time.
dc2london do you know what brand it is? I ordered one but it was crinkly even though it had great reviews

Not that I have noticed, but I am one of those people that feels a draft in the low 70's

We have this one. It's super soft, no crinkles! We have one on every bed in the house and my mum has ordered them for all of hers too. Through breastfeeding, toddlers and puppies these have served us well
Guys, I'm just catching up, and I'm sorry I was totally MIA, but I wanted to thank everyone for the advice last week - I did go for a U/S today, and everything looks good! HB is 181BPM, and I actually got my due date moved up a bit - 8/6 instead of 8/10.
So, still having a little PGAL brain about getting through the whole first tri, but doing well after today.

We're going testing at work (IT) and I keep breaking everything. It feels like a week of Monday's.
Also the 12 yo and the 3 yo are fighting. The 3 yo told off the 12 yo after she was supposed to be playing w her, but took her ball and played with it herself and wouldn't give it back. 3 yo won the argument. 12 yo stomped off.

Congratulations on all the healthy ultrasounds today!
Hmmm a mattress cover for my (and DH's) bed is a great idea. I forgot about those early nights when sweat, milk, and spit up are everywhere. Plus with DD my water broke in the middle of the night...

I hear you. Not in IT, but on a big national project and everyday something breaks. It is so fustrating!
OK I want fried pickles so badly and I can't find anywhere that delivers them. How hard do you think they are to make?
They also have frozen ones that you can just bake in the oven. I had them at my friend's house, so I don't know the brand. They weren't as good as real fried pickles, but they weren't bad. And you could probably pan fry them, now that I think about it.

Made veggie noodle soup in the crockpot. All day long I was like, "ooh, that smells so good!" Now it's time to eat and the smell is making me nauseated. I just want to lie down in a dark, quiet room and feel not-terrible for a while.

Today I walked away and laid down for 45 minutes. Lol

I feel like there's a good story behind this.
So my DS2 is basically one of the minions . He decided one morning that he wanted pancakes. DH was getting ready and i was still asleep after a rough night. He put on his Minion Halloween costume and traipsed into the master bath, telling DH, "Daddy I want some PACAKES." He was holding the brand new Costco bottle of maple syrup, fresh from the fridge. DH told him to wait, so DS decided to try me. I was in a teeny tiny little nightgown and sleeping on my stomach. DS climbs up on top of my back, and at that moment successfully opens the syrup. I am awakened by fridge-cold maple syrup pouring onto my back and all over my bed. I laughed, bc, what else can you do? DH scooped up the sheets and mattress cover and put them in the wash while I showered the syrup off. The mattress cover had contained every drop of the QUART of syrup, and our nattress remained pristine.
FML. I am so sick of screwing up everything I touch. I wish I could blame pregnancy brain but I feel like this has been a pattern for a while. So frustrated.

I feel this way sometimes too. I'm sorry you're dealing with it. Think of all the good things you do too!
The infant teacher at DD's school just "scolded" me for not telling her first that DD is going to have a sibling- we have a good relationship and I talk to her a few times a week. I should have known the director would let her know. I'm just happy I have a spot. They said families not already in the center have a 18 month wait!

((Hugs)). I feel this way too since fall. Lately I have taken to blaming my Myers-Briggs personality type (INFJ).
