This is our current nursery for DD:
One of these rooms to be decided is the template I have to work with in 3 weeks. Probably the first one but I threw the log cabin wallpaper room in for fun. Who does that?!
Now just looking at these I am freaking out that we have a lot of work to do. Crap.
Ugh. We were ahead of the game for so long and now we are so so behind. I'll snap some pics this weekend - hopefully of progress. PROGRESS. Something we need to make.
So our "nursery" is a combined baby space (but she will be sleeping in our room), office and guest room. But it's coming along nicely. We aren't getting a crib until we move in July but we will have the arms reach and a PNP. The glider is going in the empty space next to the bed and should be here next week!!
excuse the wires and the birchbox. I am still working on some more bins.
Also we own no baby clothes. She literally has two fancy dresses that were gifts and that is it.

I only have the amount of clothes I have in her closet because of my sprinkle and my mom. It's pretty nuts. Are you having a shower? If you are, you'll probably get all the clothes!

No shower. I am hoping some ppl still do gifts before she comes, but it's more traditional for Jewish ppl to get gifts after she is born. We are gonna wait until the last possible second tho to buy stuff ourselves bc I don't wanna buy it myself. Lol

Check out craigslist and FB Garage Sale groups - there are lots of baby clothes that come up all the time. I bet you could find some good pieces.

This. And check for any annual or bi-annual kids and baby consignment sales. We have a few that come here in the fall and spring and they are awesome. I scored a bunch of onesie/pants outfits for $2 each in the fall in great condition.

So these are all going in the room just with the colors of the blanket my grandma made for him. His room is still pink currently hahah so hopefully we will start really working on it next month.

Do you do a shower type thing after the birth or is this combined with the naming/bris? I haven't been to a naming in years and wasn't really paying attention to particulars because I was a teenager. That and distracted by the delicious food.

No ppl just send you stuff. I guess if it was a boy some ppl bring to the Bris but we won't do a baby naming until much much later if at all, it's not an essential thing like a Bris. A lot of ppl will buy it as soon as the baby is born so a bunch of stuff just shows when you get home from the hospital. That's what I usually do for friends who are keeping with the no stuff in the house until post baby. One of my mom's friends gave me a present and made me swear I was keeping it at my moms until the baby was born. Even after I told her we didn't care about it, she was like I do so just tell me you will leave it w your parents. Lol
I spread it around that we aren't superstitious so I don't mind gifts before. I guess it worked because I saw someone bought our car seat!!!!! Very first gift off the registry, and a great early gift! Unfortunately BBB doesn't have a gift/thank you not manager so no clue who it was. Also I accidentally still had my parents address listed as the shipping, but BBB said they can re-route it if I call back tomorrow after the order processes.

We were team green with DS so we only had a few unisex sets before he was born. 24 hours after he was born, my mom showed at the hospital with BAGS of boy clothes. And then stuff poured in from everyone else we knew. I don't think we bought him clothes until he was 9 months. You'll be fine

Does this count as nursery progress? Lol
But seriously, we're planning for baby #3 to sleep in that for 3-6 months, depending on how big/mobile she gets, then we'll move her to her own room.
Her "room" currently has a queen size bed and crib stuffed in there, so the layout is not exactly what I've been envisioning for the past few months, but I'm sure we'll make it work.

We're painting this weekend, and then furniture will be put together so that by the time baby showers roll around there's actually someplace to put all of the stuff. Will post pictures after painting!
I've done absolutely nothing. We have his bassinet and crib but that's still in their boxes. He'll be sharing a space in our room for now. I hope to start rearrange my room and add his stuff very soon.

That's further along than I am but my plan is the same, I just have to pick it up from mom's house. Never had a real nursery for my other 2 kids, why start now?

Here's our progress so far! This weekend DH painted and we put together the crib and changing table. It definitely makes this whole thing a bit more real! And, if I'm being totally honest, makes me a little emotional.

I have done absolutely NOTHING. This thread makes me itchy, but hopefully we'll get a move-on soon.
We're going to have a shared space at first. So just need to move the changer back into our room, organize it for two, and set the bassinet back up. Easily accomplished in small period of time. I'll probably add a bookshelf to DD's room to replace the changer as well... But that's all I have planned.
We'll do the crib and decorate a few months after LO is born and ready for a crib.
