I just have to say, our LO is getting jipped. When I was 33 weeks pregnant with DS, we had his nursery all ready to go, including all clothes washed and put away.
This time around, we started cleaning out new baby's room, which is currently the computer room/man cave...and then put everything back in it when we realized we had no place to put all of that crap.

I cleaned DD'S closet and dresser out to make room for her brother's stuff. I'm not confident that we will have her room done to move her before he's born. At least now his stuff has a home. (She has clothes I promise. I just switched her over to 24m and was washing a bunch of stuff and all of little man's stuff )
Getting there! Got the glider and put the dresser together over the weekend. Need to hang shelves and blinds and start putting thins where they will belong!
Goes in our room not the "nursery" but we got the cosleeper!! Yay. We set it up in cosleeping mode but aren't attaching it to the bed yet. I think we need the lifts so I added that to the list. In good news the one sheet I made fits perfectly so I am going to make some more! It's much heavier and a bit bigger than I thought (we got the full size)
We deep cleaned both bathrooms, prepped the newborn diapers, and got the TV hung up on the wall in our room. Does that count? I'll take pics tomorrow after we move the changer in and fill all the holes from DH's oopsies, lol. I have super adorable teeny diapers though!!!
Got the TV mounted, moved the changer in, and set up the bassinet. We're room sharing, so that's most of our "nursery" all we need is closet space. But DD2 is still using the clothes organizer. I'll move her into the dresser later an put that up. Feels pretty real now. DD2 is pissed that there is a teddy bear that she can't play with though- even though she has one EXACTLY like it, just in a different color. (Hers is purple.)
ALMOST ready to PIP our nursery progress! We are in the midst of reorganizing it all after getting the mattress this weekend, unpacking all the baby shower gifts, cutting tags off all her clothes through 6months, and washing said clothes, as well as her new & used sheets, blankets, towels, etc.
We also prepped all of our nb and full-size diapers this weekend, which was complicated! Some were used and had to go through a bleach load, others were new and synthetic-fiber and could be washed once, and some were new and natural-fiber, so they had to be washed separately several times... I think we got a handle on what the routine of washing and line-drying and stuffing will look like, though, so that's good!
NB stash ready to go (prefolds and fitteds on the left & covers, AIOs, and doublers on the right):
Full-size fluff stash! (mostly AIOs, AI2s, and pockets, with a couple of covers/swim diapers)...

So excited to see this post! And you were so unsure. Looks like a GREAT stash!!!

Thanks! I did a lot of research after your post and collected a variety. FX I can handle CDing! ?
No FX necessary. You will be awesome! I hope you'll love it as much as I do!!!
Are you going to CD in the hospital? I am still going back and forth, never having CDed a newborn before. (I started at 6 weeks.)
My mom keeps trying to convince me to wait a few weeks to begin CD, or at least until he's passed all of the meconium. But I don't want to wait.
I don't know what the norm is but DD was done with meconium by the time we left the hospital. I was scared of the umbilical stump so I waited to CD until that fell off (week 2 or 3??). I'll see how I feel this time but I don't mind using sposies in the hospital.

From what I've read, meconium doesn't stain, and it just washes out. I don't really mind using sposies in the hospital, but at the same time, I am super excited to use my itty bitty CDs...

Torn.
This is all making me think of when you get a shiny new toy. LOL! Like when I get a new car, I can't wait to drive it to all the places. CD love is real.

Oh, that's good to know.
I think maybe we will start in the hospital then. My mom had three big babies, and so who even knows how long I'll get to use the newborn fluff I'm so obsessed with if I don't start early.
Flip side of the coin... what if a nurse takes my baby and doesn't know what to do with the diaper??? We're using prefolds and snappis, and most people stare at them and are all, "uhhhhhh... what do I do with this???"

How many prefolds do you have? I had a slight panic attack looking at your's and adorebel's newborn stash. I realized I only had 5 covers, 4 AIOs, 12 prefolds, and 2 fitted. I only plan on doing prefolds for the newborn stage. Should I get another 12 newborn prefolds (orange GMD) and 1 set of yellow GMDs or do you recommend something else? I did buy 4 more covers today for a total of 9. I hope that's enough.
FunniBunni , @ismellbooks , our plan is to use disposables until we leave and bring one nb CD with us as part of her going-home outfit.
I think it will just be easier, as you say, with the staff (as well as not collecting a bag of 3-day-old dirty diapers in the hospital), and hopefully she will pass most of the meconium. As first-time parents, we have enough to get the hang of in the first couple of days! We will switch fully to CD when we leave the hospital.
That said, you never know how long they will be in the nb size! Starting to think SheilaTheTank was right on doing disposables for the nb phase... Too late now!
ETA - reminded by PP that SheilaTheTank is not, in fact, doing disposables for the nb phase, and this is the second time I have made this mistake! Sorry Sheila. It was someone else who said that...
SheilaTheTank the only reason we have such a large nb stash is because we will launder and air-dry every 3rd day. Our coin-op machines are expensive enough that doing daily laundry was going to cost WAY more during the nb phase than buying more prefolds.

Yeah, we wait until baby is in one size before we CD. Takes out the guesswork!
