1) How did December go? OK I think. I haven't been on a scale since December 11 as I haven't had access to a scale since then. DH tells me he thinks I've lost weight and my pants are a little looser. 2) How is January going so far? I've been eating healthier as long as I avoid the cookie aisle. Then I binge. And DS wants to eat if he sees me eating. Easier not to have secret snacks. Have been doing a lot of walking, but have not done any yoga and I feel it. 3) Any new things you're trying? Old things that are working? Just trying to eat more balanced. 4) Questions/AW/Rants/Raves 5) GTKY: If you have a workout Playlist what are some of the songs on it (new or old)? I love some dirty Era Christina Aguilera and Fighter is a mainstay.

1) How did December go? Ok--I had to take more than a week off working out to let my back heal. Bad timing. 2) How is January going so far? So far so good! I'm very close to the 30 pound mark and I'd like to get there before the end of the month. 3) Any new things you're trying? Old things that are working? Old stuff is working, so I'm not changing anything. 4) Questions/AW/Rants/Raves 5) GTKY: If you have a workout Playlist what are some of the songs on it (new or old)? I love DJ Divsa. He has podcasts available for free downloading...best cardio mixes ever!
2) How is January going so far? Better! I'm making it to the gym at least three times a week. My new goal is to try and hit 10,000 steps every day. I've made it twice this week so far.
3) Any new things you're trying? Old things that are working? Before going to the gym after work was hard because DS does NOT like to be dropped off at child care after spending all day at daycare. He would cry the entire time, so we never went to the gym. This week, we're trying a new work out schedule. I go to the gym Monday and Wednesday, DH goes Tuesday and Thursday, and whoever stays home watches C. It's working out really well for us so far! And we all go Saturday. DS doesn't mind going to the gym on Saturdays
Also, I'm using the stair master now and I'm noticing a difference in my thighs. Which is good, because they are in need of major toning.

1) How did December go? Not as bad as I thought it would. 2) How is January going so far? It's been ok eating-wise, but I've missed some cycling days because of this cold/crud I have. I can feel it, too; I need to get back in gear. 3) Any new things you're trying? Old things that are working? I'm trying to reduce my carb intake; my doctor at one point gave me a paper with a "modified carbohydrate diet" and list of foods to avoid because he didn't like the size of my waist. Well I don't either, so I'm trying that. And also I'm trying 30 minutes on my spin bike 5x a week. 4) Questions/AW/Rants/Raves RANTS: I'm ready for my butt bones to stop hurting from the bike seat. And honestly, I feel like 5x a week doesn't work for me because after a day "off" it is soooo hard for me to get back on. Would every day be overkill? 5) GTKY: If you have a workout Playlist what are some of the songs on it (new or old)? I haven't been using a playlist (just been setting up my iPad and watching 30 minute shows), but anything with lots of bass helps! My happy tempo is about 130-136 beats per minute.
