dc2london your blump is too cute! katelm glad you got good news, even if the picture quality isn't great. pttomato I checked my bloodwork a couple of days ago and I'm no longer immune to rubella. My kids are both vaxxed against it and I don't think I've ever been exposed to it in my life, but that was a bit unnerving.
Had an OB ultrasound yesterday at 10w4d. Baby measured 10w6d and heart rate was great at 150 something! I was soooo nervous it was going to be bad news so that was reassuring.
I was surprised they did transabdominal ultrasound though. Apparently that's what they do starting at 10 weeks. The ultrasound quality was terrible, see attached pic. Like ok if you say a baby is there I believe you. I'm excited all looks ok but disappointed I didn't get to see what looks like an actual baby yet (especially compared to some of your cool 3D ultrasounds!). The tech claimed the reason it was this quality was because it was transabdominal. We did see legs kicking at one point so that was cool. But seriously, our 8w ultrasound was more clear than this!
Oof ya that is definitely not the best quality. Glad everything looks good though!

dc2london, love the bump/blump!! You're too cute! steph, I had this while grocery stopping the other day. I ended up just standing there holding onto the cart until it passed. People around me probably thought I was crazy. katelm yay for a great appt. Boo for not a better quality picture, but I guess they know what they're looking at! foxxytwt, congrats on a great scan!

I'm not immune to chicken pox and I've had chicken pox, shingles and the vaccine ?
Got my bloodwork back and I am apparently not immune to Parvo virus. I was told to avoid all "potentially ill small children." Guess it's good I don't have kids yet.
My DS got this once. I think... He had the smacked cheek look and the fever. I didn't realize until after the fact when I saw a notice on his kindergarten. I guessing I have immunity since he had it. I will say it is very hard to contract with an adult immune system.
While it sucks to hear it's happening to a few of you, I'm glad I'm not alone. My BP usually runs super low. I'm wondering if that has something to do with it. I didn't have any of this last time, but I guess each pregnant really is different

My neighboors ran a Chinese resturant down the street. Well, they got bought out since real estate is insane here and now I think they are running take out from their house. My backyard smells like a Chinese resturant which is torture since sodium and I don't mix in pregnancy.

Yup that's parvo, better known as Fifth's Disease. I don't think it's too common but it can cause birth defects so that's why they're particularly concerned about it. I recently found out my mom was infected with this while pregnant with my sister and everything was fine.

remylove1011, have you tried the hairtie-through-the-buttonhole trick? That paired with a long shirt or belly band is pretty successful for me so far.
Also, after I read your post I looked down and realized that I'm wearing my sweatpants backwards. I am absolutely not willing to exert the effort required in changing them.

I luckily have on a pretty long shirt today, so I'm just walking around with them undone (They're skinny jeans, so they're staying up pretty good by themselves). the only hair tie I have is the one in my hair. Must remember to bring extra.

Earlier today my hair was in my face so I took the hair tie out of my pants and used it... then I just sort of prayed my pants wouldn't fall down.
On a related note, when does a blump officially become a bump? When you can't suck it in anymore?

My lunch today is pretty terrible. I'm ashamed a bit but eating healthy right now is not in the cards. Veggies are a complete turn off. My lunch today is a breaded chicken sandwich, chips and a mini Coke. Ugh. I promise on my life I will eat better when first tri is over

Yeah, I think so? When, no matter how much you try to suck it in or squish it down with bands, etc,it still pops out a bit. I think "true" bumps typically start showing up around week 16ish? Even with multiples? Am I talking out of my ass? Question marks? ????

Yeah I'm not sure about when it's actually considered a bump. I definitely have a little something going on and my pants are way tight when I sit (but not terrible while standing up...), but I wouldn't consider it a bump.
