I am so relieved. The lizard is measuring 9w2d with a heart rate of 171bpm. I got to see the tiny nubs kicking but my H missed it. I just feel like I can breathe for today.
We are supposed to go to Belize in May for a family vacation. The CDC just issued an advisory for the Zika virus, which is a problem for pregnant women. We're going to give it a few more weeks, but it doesn't look promising.
I read about that this week. Scientists think that Zika may be causing microcaephally. Not sure of spelling, but babies are being born in Brazil with small heads.

Yay for a good scan Jam! Sorry Mr Jam missed it. :(

Yup and it's spreading. Puerto Rico and Central America have found cases recently.

I had an appt today, but no scan. He found a Doppler HR of 160 though, so very excited!
How do you all with toddlers manage to bring them along by yourselves though? I brought dd along and it was a cluster lol. She hopped off the chair and was wandering around the room as soon as I was in the stirrups, and unplugged the light he was using! I mean, they were behind and we waited in the room for over a half hour, so I can't expect a 22 month old to sit still much longer than that even with Daniel Tiger on my phone, I suppose.

Ok, really stupid question ladies. Is it ok to get your hair done in the first trimester? I have an appointment scheduled for tomorrow for a cut and color. I usually just get highlights. Everything I'm looking at online says getting your hair done is fine, but says to wait until first trimester... so now I'm of course all worried...
Me (30) MH (32) Dx: MFI (low all the things) M. 10/11. TTC Since 01/14 IUI#1-3(Letrozole + Trigger) = BFN Second Opinion. Changed RE's. IVF 09/15 Long Lupron 12R/9M/8F, Transferred 1=BFN. 4 frosties. FET #1 12/15 Transferred 1 (3 still on ice)

We are supposed to go to Cabo next month. I'm not sure what to do.
You know how some people will be bitten by the only mosquito in the room? Any mosquito in close proximity finds me.

Congrats on the cooking/eating dc2london! I cooked 2 meals this week, and ate them, and felt so accomplished. H raved about them and they were nothing special AT ALL, but poor guy has been eating frozen pizza, pbj, or takeout for the past 4 weeks (without complaint), and he was so excited about real food lol.
Hey guys! I cooked! I prepared food myself, from scratch, and was able to eat it! This is huge!
So... Dinner at your place?
Come on over!
I'm laughing though, normally cooking is one of my favorite things to do, and I love having people over for dinner. Today I made mashed potatoes and feel like Martha bloody Stewart.

The girl who does my hair said its fine. They use something different she said. Just let your colorist know that you are pregnant.

Are you doing it at the root or like a balayage?
I usually do it to the root. I guess I could just get a cut and let the color grow out some. It doesn't look terrible and eventually would look like I did it on purpose

remylove1011 when I was a hairstylist, if a client was in first tri I would do foils so that color wasn't touching the root. If anything the smell bothered my clients more than anything!

Yeah I'm thinking I'll decide on the color when I get there. Sounds like I may be able to do a few foils, but I may not be able to handle the smell!

It was - by LMP, I was only 10w, and they don't do abdominal until *after* 10w, so I snuck in under the wire.
Yay for a great scan! It's funny how all places differ, mine said they don't do transvaginal after 8w. I was spot on 8w. Though after seeing this great shot, I almost wish they did a transvaginal congrats!
It is funny. My doctors office will always try an abdominal before doing a transvaginal. Even when I was 6w with my son, they tried abdominal first and only went for t/v when they couldn't find anything. I've always had an abdominal at 8ish weeks.

Stroller+snack. My OB's office lets them eat.
I had to take both kids when I had my post partum check. My 6 week old would not stop screaming. I actually cried at the doctors office. My doctor's nurse carried him around while I got examined and gave my toddler crackers. I have the best OB and her staff ever.
