On DD's current school application it asks if the child will stay through kindergarten. I obviously said yes. Now I'm thinking of putting her in the free multi cultural school for kindergarten and beyond. Because. ..free.
I have a very small window during the day to actually participate. It takes me so long to catch up that anything I have to contribute is redundant. I am a generous love titter though.
ok falconcrest three questions for you. answer in three separate posts.
1. favorite pizza topping? 2. color of your toenails right now? 3. People Magazine, Vanity Fair, or the New Yorker?

bearfootz I am staring down the bottle of red wine on my kitchen counter. And I share your outrage over non-mayo chicken salad. I like straight up traditional with mayo and celery, or I will accept curried chicken salad. No to yogurt.

Being in a top school district was a top priority for us when we bought our house. This is why we live in a tiny, shitty house. For the same cost just a few towns over, we could have a much bigger and nicer home, but crappier schools.

I agree with you on the curried chicken salad if done right.
I am at work and there's no wine - that I'm aware of at least. Last night I was tempted to open a bottle after the munchkins went to sleep but given there was a chance that I'd had to drive in a snowstorm to urgent care for one of them I felt I had to be responsible. It's not a feeling I like.
Hey bunnyfungo what's the name of the toddler carrier that is released every Thursday? I need to find a SSC for my 30+ lb kid. He's on the edge of outgrowing our Beco.
I am not really a magazine person, but if I am in a waiting room I would pick People.
Esquire or Rolling Stone.
I really like to people watch in waiting rooms. A magazine makes me look less creepy, but in reality I am creeping. I spent 3 hours at urgent care yesterday and I didn't read more than a page of my magazine.

Tula or Kinderpack? Check the Babywearing Swap on FB.

It was Kinderpack. I'm thinking about renting a toddler Tula to try it out. Any pros/cons to Kinderpack vs. Tula?

bearfootz I WFH Monday/Tuesday/Thursday and in the office on Wednesday/Friday. DD and DH being home on my WFH day is realllly not working out today - he tried to take her out but the library was closed and the roads here are terrible. The downside of WFH is being tempted with snacks. And apparently wine when daydreaming about escaping my family.
I'm taking this back several pages & conversations ago, but I had 1 boy name. I knew for forever that it was my boy name & never waviered. DH & his parents (but moreso his parents) hated it & tried to talk me out of it my entire pregnancy. It was a huge ordeal bc they played the "not my kid so its whatever you want" game to my face but then would talk smack about it behind my back. They said it was "to redneck".
FTR, DSs name is Jackson Paul (a combination of my grandfather & DHs grandfather's names). For the first 3 weeks of his life, my inlaws & BILs called him Pauly bc that was somehow better than Jackson. (They eventually gave up & saw that I was never going to change to calling him Pauly)
Nearly 3 years later I still have all the feels over it.
I've never tried a Tula but I feel like the Kinderpack fits my frame (5'3") better than my Boba ever did, if that's helpful to you @bruxannie.
Thanks. I'm not huge on babywearing, but I do like SSCs for sporting events and air travel. I'm gonna try to get a Kinderpack this week...me and eleventy other people, it seems, so it might be a fools errand.
