That's insane to imagine that daycares stay open when schools are closed or it's inclement weather at all.
Our daycare is always open when the schools close. They told us when we started that they have only closed a handful of times in the 15 years they have been open.

atomiccounty I get it. And I think it's a healthy combination of SAH with messy kids and being lazy. When I finally get a second to myself, I really have no desire to scrub my tub.
DD is now playing diner. She writes down in her little pad that I want a cheeseburger, then announces it on her microphone. Then she shouts, "order up!"
I haven't cleaned a tub in over two years. Cleaning service FTW.
100%.
I've had a cleaning lady since I could scrounge up enough cash to pay for it. It's my favorite luxury. I would give up a lot of things before I gave up this.
It's cold but not intolerable here, so we are going to walk to a friends place for a play date this morning. Ds came into bed with Squeaker and I at 3am. He slept until 730, which is 2 hours more than normal. Squeaker has perfected her army crawl and is unstoppable.
But I'm ignoring them both while I pump. I really want to build up my freezer stash so she will still have BM when I stop nursing.

Sad to say DD's tub shitting phase was more like late 2s / early 3s... when she really had no excuse. She was a poop withholder, though, so I think the tub just finally forced the inevitable.
It's sweet. Hubby tried to make ds and I smoothies for breakfast. He used almond milk and something else (am dairy free). It looks coagulated and tastes horrible. I'm letting ds eat mine.
I'm seriously considering making some cuts and re budgeting so we can have a house cleaning service. I'm good at cleaning and I like it, but between our work schedules and my school schedule, the house is consistently not as clean as I need it.
It's making me crazy, I can't stand undone stuff. I used to spend my Saturday morning deep cleaning and now, I don't have the luxury of a four hour block to get it all done.
