Symptoms? I felt horrible this morning but it's a little better now. I can't stand sweet stuff which is weird for me. I'm drinking unsweetened iced tea.
Rants/Raves? I wish I wasn't so tired all the time. I have no motivation or energy so I feel like I'm forcing life.
GTKY: If you could travel to one place in the world, where would that be? Italy. I've always wanted to go there.
Upcoming appointments? Nothing until February 15th. But we will get the results back from today's blood work in 2 weeks. We decided to do the maternal blood work genetic screening to look for Down's syndrome, and other chromosomal abnormalities, even though I'm 28 and low risk. It's 99$ out of pocket, but that's cheap enough to just do it. Plus, we can find out the sex, if we want!
Symptoms? Eating makes me feel terrible. Oh, and last night, I ate some gummy candies (delicious, no regrets) but then had an amazing sugar crash. I was dizzy and slightly confused.
Rants/Raves? Nugget, please let me eat when I'm hungry and please don't punish me afterward.
GTKY: If you could travel to one place in the world, where would that be? I agree, somewhere warm. Disney world was fun. I'd do that again.
Symptoms: so much nausea, tired, some stretching pains. Peeing a lot and as of yesterday my boobs are so sore they almost feel like when they were engorged while nursing.
Rants/raves: nothing much, just super nervous as I head into my next appt/NT scan (when we discovered my mmc last time)
Gtky: there are a lot of places I want to go, I don't think I can pick one! I have never been to Europe or Hawaii. I'd love to be in a position to be able to travel more.
Still naseated, but I don't feel nearly as fatigued as I did for a few weeks there. Still can't do a whole lot, but at least I don't feel like walking dead
Rave: i am off pelvic rest and got the green light for light to moderate exercise! I am so excited to go for a light jog!
Oh I want to go to all the places. New Zealand is one place I really want to go but is likely many years off
Symptoms? Hungry, tired, peeing all the time, back pain
Rants/Raves? People who have not been pregnant do not understand how tiring it is to be hungry all the time! It IS a thing!
GTKY: If you could travel to one place in the world, where would that be? After our trip down under in March, the last continent I need is Antarctica, but it's cold there so I choose somewhere tropical like Bora Bora.
Symptoms? Nausea has been getting better. Still just so tired, and having some cramps.
Rants/Raves? I have an ultrasound next Sunday, and we are finally going to tell my girls and announce to the world. I'm really excited to see DD1's reaction.
GTKY: If you could travel to one place in the world, where would that be? Hmm... I would love to go back to Italy.
elm1214, Yay, how exciting to be able to tell your girls the news! I hope you get some pictures or videos to save of the moment (if that's your thing).
How many weeks are you? 12 ish Upcoming appointments? We have our next monthly visit and the NT genetic testing this week. Symptoms? Tired, but not sleeping well. Still puking, dry heaving, and feeling poorly. Rants/Raves? So ready to be done with feeling poorly. I'm not someone who loves being pregnant- let's just get through it as painless as possible. GTKY: If you could travel to one place in the world, where would that be? I love to travel. DD has 7 stamps in her passport at 2.5. I really want to go back to New Zealand, visit Laos, and some island in the Indian Ocean. We are cancelling our trip to Belize and Guatemala due to the Zika virus. I'm bummed, but it's soo not worth the risk.
How many weeks are you? 10w5d Upcoming appointments? I just scheduled my NT scan for 1/29, so I'm anxiously awaiting that. Symptoms? Have I mentioned that I feel gross? Rants/Raves? The only time I don't feel nauseated is when I'm eating. So I'm constantly eating. And I thought I could be one of those girls who skates through pregnancy with minimal weight gain. Ha!
GTKY: I'm a traveler too! I'd love to go back to Thailand. Not sure how I'll feel about travel once we have a LO, but my in-laws live in eastern Europe, so I'm guessing we'll at least want to visit them with the baby. Or maybe we'll just fly them here. Question for those of you who've traveled with LOs: how young is too young for a long-haul flight (longest leg would be 8 hours)? And is there an ideal age to plan a long trip with them while they're still an infant?
thelorax Can you plan a trip to a different destination? That's a bummer, but it's good to take precautions.
hrushka We actually have only taken 15 month DD on flights up to 1 1/2 hours so far and are upping the ante to 14 1/2 with Australia in two months so I don't have much personal advice. I have heard from others though that it's great to travel when they are not yet mobile and can still fit in the bassinet of bulkhead rows. I would think maybe between 4-7 months may be a sweet spot when you've gotten used to breastfeeding (if you plan to do so) and the baby is a little better at sleeping. I'm a little nervous to fly so far with a very mobile and very loud toddler, but I think it'll be worth it!
ameliabird, I'm glad to hear the spotting is gone! And yes, Italy is amazing. We did all three of those a few years ago. One of my favorite things was a vespa tour through Tuscany.
jamjoyful, iced tea sounds really good right now! Sorry you've been feeling icky.
theophania, omg the gas! And mine is seriously toxic.
misshart00, amen to going somewhere, anywhere, warm!
esquette, Definitely worth it! I think we'll do those screenings, too. Not sure what my clinic offers yet.
dorkusmalorkus, ah, so close to second tri! Good luck on Friday.
redhead610, Fx all is good with your scan. Those loss milestones suck.
Symptoms? Nausea, vomiting, constipation, general crankiness and extreme fatigue
Rants/Raves? I'm ready for some energy
GTKY: If you could travel to one place in the world, where would that be? Hawaii. I've been to Europe and it's ok but I want to go to a warm island. My parents were hardcore on vacations cramming as many museums as possible. I want to sit on the beach with DH drinking tequilla. I'd probably change my mind once I got there and was hot.
thelorax Can you plan a trip to a different destination? That's a bummer, but it's good to take precautions.
Yea we are going to try and do something else. I don't want to fly too much longer than 6 hours just because I had a lot of back and rib pain last time by 7 months.
We went to New Zealand when I was 24-26 weeks pregnant and had an awesome time. I'm so jealous you are going to Australia!
hrushka- the key is to lower your expectations, but keep doing stuff We started flying with DD when she was 8 weeks old and she went to Canada at 10 weeks. The flights suck, but once you get there it can be a lot of fun. I also really love our Phil and Teds travel crib. We use whenever we travel so even though the setting changes the bed is the same. We bring as little as possible and have never have brought a stroller. It's easy to think you need a million things, but we rarely need much.
She's been to Canada twice, Mexico twice, Costa Rica, Scotland and Ireland.
elm1214 , Yay, how exciting to be able to tell your girls the news! I hope you get some pictures or videos to save of the moment (if that's your thing).
Yes, I'm going to take a video, I can't wait! She has been talking about wanting a baby brother for a few months, so hopefully she understands that she doesn't get to pick boy/girl haha.
hrushka, I'm going to a private ultrasound place since I'm not getting a 12 week ultrasound through my doctor.
Symptoms? Hip pain, but think that's the cysts. My stomachs off today but I think that's from being up with DS while he's sick
Rants/Raves? None today
GTKY: If you could travel to one place in the world, where would that be? Right now it would be hotel wailea with plans on snorkeling molakini in the morning. Yes that sounds perfect

How many weeks are you? 9 weeks today
Upcoming appointments? 2/2 next OB appt, 2/10 NT scan
Symptoms? I don't even know anymore. I spent the weekend in the hospital, and I am struggling to get through a cold I caught before I left. No food sounds good, but I get worse if I don't eat. Bloated, sore boobs.
Rants/Raves? Just really hoping I can get better by the 26th!
GTKY: If you could travel to one place in the world, where would that be? New Zealand is where I have always, always wanted to go. And guess what, I have a ticket to fly there in just over a week to be matron of honor in my best friend's wedding, but I've been so sick I honestly don't know if I will make it. I have to get better before then! Please send me good health vibes!

frodabaggins Oh no! I hope you'll feel up to traveling in time! It's so hard to predict, since things can change on a dime at this point. I really hope you get to go! #jealous

Rants/Raves?i had to go bra shopping this weekend. My perky 36 Bs are now stretch marked 40 Ds. I can't imagine what they will be by the end of this pregnancy.::shudder::
GTKY: If you could travel to one place in the world, where would that be? Paris or Rome. So much art and architecture to see.

hrushka For what it's worth, we flew from Kansas City to Sacramento, and then from Seattle to Kansas City when our daughter was about 9 months, and that was pretty perfect. She wasn't mobile, so was content to eat snacks and play with the vomit bag, while she smiled at the other people on our flight. It's such a crapshoot, but I think before they're newly mobile can be really useful.

How many weeks are you? 8w4d
Upcoming appointments? First MFM appointment on 1/27 (looks like a bunch of us have appointments that day!)
Symptoms? Constipation, exhaustion, recently doing basic activity like getting dressed makes me feel like I just ran a mile.
Rants/Raves? I had acupuncture today and I felt really good for the next few hours!
GTKY: If you could travel to one place in the world, where would that be? I want to go everywhere! Top on my list right now are New Zealand, Ireland, Thailand, and Fiji.

How many weeks are you? 9+6
Upcoming appointments? routine OB 1/29, NT scan 2/1
Symptoms? Exhausted. Nausea despite Diclegis is better be a lot today (cue PgAL brain)
Rants/Raves? H and I got so much done this weekend! My house is semi-clean again! I can think again! Also H brought home tulips yesterday to pick everyone up. They are so cheery!
GTKY: If you could travel to one place in the world, where would that be? Switzerland or Ireland (both places my grandparents are from).
Upcoming appointments? Not for over a month. My OB said he is spacing appointments way out for STMs. He says it's to make sure he's available when people need him. I appreciate the sentiment, but sad about fewer baby updates:(
Symptoms? Nausea always. I am always starving right after I get sick. It's so confusing and awful.
Rants/Raves? My husband and I had a great date this weekend! Several months ago at a charity auction we bid on a gift card to my favorite restaurant. It only said "dinner for two" and we weren't sure what that mean. When we got to the restaurant our waitress informed us it was for ANYTHING except alcohol. This was my dream-anything and everything we wanted off the menu. We had so much food and I actually felt really good all night.
GTKY: If you could travel to one place in the world, where would that be? Right this second: Turks and Caicos. We went there for our honeymoon. I am seriously craving some sun and a fruity cocktail on the beach.
Upcoming appointments? routine OB 1/29, NT scan 2/1
Symptoms? Exhausted. Nausea despite Diclegis is better be a lot today (cue PgAL brain)

GTKY: If you could travel to one place in the world, where would that be? Switzerland or Ireland (both places my grandparents are from).
Where in Ireland? My grandparents were also Irish:) Their house is apparently still standing in Donegal. My parents went back for a family reunion when I was in highschool but didn't take me. Bitter.
