The ob will probably got over basic do/do not. If they already know you they may skip past medical history stuff unless there are issues. Usually they have you pee in a cup every appt. The nurse went through a packet that had faq, med list and phone numbers and such. Hope the helps some
Typically, you will visit with the nurse and go over health history. The doctor will do a pelvic exam and possibly a Pap smear. If you've already had a dating u/s, I'm not sure what they will do to see/hear the heartbeat. We've always gotten an u/s at the first appt to see the heartbeat. Not a huge one but the kind they can pull into the room. They will answer any questions you have and send you on your way. It's pretty painless.

To add to others, I had to pee in a cup at every appt with every pregnancy. Early on, they asked me a long series of questions about family medical history with each pregnancy too (same obgyn).
I've also had to pee in a cup at every appointment. They may do a pap smear if you are due for one. I wasn't, but they still did vaginal cultures to test for STDs and infections. They also may try to find the heartbeat with the doppler, but not all of them do that early (mine doesn't). Also taking history details like they mentioned above.

My OB was completely new to me. I met with the doc, went over medical history, he gave some quick do's and don'ts, I peed in a cup, then a pap and a u/s, then I gave a few vials of blood.
TTC #1 since August 2011 DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA Me (32): Slightly low P4, hostile CM, carrier for CF, high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA October 2012-August 2015: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, 2 failed FETs w/donor embryos, 1 freeze all IVF, 1 Failed FET, and 1 cancelled FET November 2015: FET w/ DEm #3 Transferred 1 perfect 6AA blast
Pee, blood work, medical history, q&a, optional pelvic check, blood pressure check, and we get a folder that tells you allowed medicines and useful information. We also had the option to do an U/S. No pap since the new guidelines are every 5 years for my age.
I'm using a MW so pretty much everything is optional.
I had mine on Friday, just shy of 10 weeks. - 45 minutes with a nurse, where I got to wear pants, and she asked me questions about my history, my genetic history and the donors genetic history. - Nurse did a preview of coming events, discussing when appointments would be, when there would be ultrasounds, etc. Do's and do not's. Discussion of prenatal testing options. Bag of random pamphlets. - pee in cup - pants off with OB for pelvic exam, pap, culture for stds. T/V ultrasound to see the nugget! - pants on for Q&A with OB. - scripts for bloodwork and prenatal testing. - reschedule for 4 weeks.

Mine did a pelvic and pap, discussed first trimester screening, and listened with the Doppler. He briefly made sure that I knew how/when to get in contact with them, and gave an overview of what I can expect as far as future appointments etc. we had bloodwork and a UA done during the intake eval with the nurse. Mine actually doesn't have you pee in the cup every visit anymore (he did with my last pregnancy), so apparently this isn't universal of yours doesn't .

It really varies. At my office the first visit is just a health history with the nurse. They give an order for blood work to do a standard pregnancy blood panel (blood type, various infection checks that are required in our state, and immunity checks on things like Fifths and rubella). The second visit is a pelvic exam and pap with the nurse practitioner and they pull out the doppler. They don't even have a u/s machine in house and do not do a dating u/s standard (although they gave me and order for one very easily this time). A lot of my friends go to offices that do a dating u/s at the first appointment.
I do have to pee in a cup, step on the scale, and get my blood pressure checked at every visit.
Echoing what many of the PPs have mentioned, vitals taken, urine sample, scale, received a packet/folder with everything pregnancy related, t/v u/s, bw, spent some time with OB and nurse. My pelvic exam was also optional and I wasn't due for a pap so didn't have that done either. GL at your appointment pbandjelly!!
