Well, we're team pink over here again. I'm glad I sorted all of Ks clothes and all I'll have to do is whip them out when the new one shows up. I do really want a boy, but I'm glad that K will have a sister so close in age.
Otherwise, I have to head to the post office and send an order out and figure out what I'm pulling for dinner. Also, now I have to start thinking about what I'm going to make for this new little. Ks newborn set and her blanket are a light grey. I don't want to do pink, but I'm having trouble thinking of a neutral color that's nice for a girl and not the grey I already used or white.
I'm irrationally excited to go to Target today. I used to go like 2-3 times per week and haven't been since before Christmas, I have been doing really good! Target used to be a BIG problem for me. Hopefully I can keep my shit together and not buy all the things when I go.
Ray, flutters are so exciting! I haven't felt anything.
Today kind of sucks and I'm ready for it to be 3:30 so I can go home and nap. I'm supposed to go for a pre-natal massage tonight, but I just want to get in my PJs and sleep.
Congrats TheTuna15 on team pink!! Sisters are the best. What about a pretty light gold?
Ray flutters is sooo exciting!! I can't wait to start feeling that myself! I had a "ooo... maybe..?" moment the other day but haven't felt it again yet.
I bought a doppler yesterday, against my better judgement. I know I am a nervous person and that if I couldn't hear something I'd get super nervous, but was soooo wanting to hear bean's heartbeat more often. So I went with the Wusic off of Amazon because it got great reviews (and I could get same day shipping!). So it arrived last night and I tried it right away... Sure enough, when I couldn't find the bean in 4 seconds I started to get super nervous. But then I changed positions and eventually found it! Such a relief and music to my ears
Can I whine for a minute? DS was up until almost midnight because he is currently fighting a cold, but still woke up at 6am. I gave him a couple hours to hang around the house to make sure he was good enough to go to daycare, and when I dropped him off they mentioned that there was a confirmed case of strep in his class. FML.
ginabini, I was starting to think maybe a pretty yellow or mint green. Gold would be adorable if "gold" yarn wasn't really just a shitty mustard color.

I caved and bought a doppler a few weeks ago, I got it on a local resale site for only $20 though! I don't use it very often but I always freak when it takes a little longer to find it, it is getting easier!

A doppler is what keeps me sane. Especially since I won't feel movement until later because my ute lays back.
ginabini, I hope the doppler doesn't give you too much anxiety. I try to limit my use to once a week, less chances for me to freak out if I don't find it right away.

I got to work this morning and parked my car. When I opened my door I immediately threw up on to the pavement within view of some girl who was walking in. I grabbed my spare plastic bag that I was keeping in the car for an occasion such as this and continued to vomit until I was done. The girl just stood there and watched in horror. After I was done I told her that I was PG and it was morning sickness and she looked relieved and kept walking.
I am surprised I don't feel more embarrassed... I guess it helped that I completely expected something like this to happen.
sarcaztic10, It was good that you were prepared. I find it a bit funny how the girl stayed, but only because I would have ran away. lol
Usually I go back to sleep after my morning trip to the bathroom. Well DH was on his phone and our cats thought it would be a good time to get into a hissing fight.....
DH is staying home today. His stomach is bugging him but I think it is also a mental thing since now he has 5 days off in a row. Tomorrow is for our appointments!

acorn99 , Oh that sucks! Sorry for the early wake up and the late night.
How about a metallic variety? They tend not to be so ugly.
Oh the metallics are insanely pretty, but they tend to be made in nylon and other non-baby friendly materials. It's a PIA finding nice colors that can be washed/dried in machines, tugged on constantly without getting destroyed, and are still soft.

Ah. You're totally right. I agree with mint green!
Ds had a complete and total meltdown last night for a solid hour. All thru bath, pjs, and Tylenol. Dh and I were losing our shit. He woke up much happier today. I wanted wine so bad last night.

I didn't have one with my first pregnancy, but for some reason, this one felt completely different and I am weirdly paranoid about this pregnancy. I got a doppler and do a check in with baby once a week. I don't think that dopplers are a bad thing, if you go in knowing that it might be hard to find the heartbeat sometimes. I couldn't find it the first time that I tired, took a break, drank some juice, and then tried again about a half hour later....and found it right away. Now that DD knows about the pregnancy, I usually let her hang out while I am doing it, because she likes to hear the heartbeat.
Our toilet lid broke at the hinges, so now I have to get another one. I want to get one of those slow closing ones, but of course, our dang toilets aren't white, and they only carry white and elongated ones in the store (ours is round). I don't really feel like paying shipping on a dang toilet lid. On top of that, I don't even know what color our toilet it. Is it "bone"? Is it "almond?" WTF.....all toilets should just be white so you don't have to deal with this crap.
Also, a friend of mine has been going through the adoption process (international) for five years. Yesterday, their baby became legally theirs. He is SO adorable! I instantly got all the feels, and wanted to run out and snatch a kid from that orphanage (although I know it doesn't work that way).......

What about orange? Or a sky blue... I don't believe blue had to equal boy... Or purple, there are lovely shades of purple. FFFC: I believe all the babies can have all the colors.

Or coral or teal? Those are the colors I wanted to do DD's room in, that didn't work out. Now there's effing decorations in those colors EVERYWHERE. I like those as non-traditional colors for girls though!
TnT10, I Love teal. DD1 & 2 will be sharing a room and I wonder if that's too much teal.
mugster, this is what DDs room looks like now. We'll be throwing another crib in. Orange may clash too much. And idk if sky blue would be too much blue.

TheTuna15 , my crib totally looked like that for awhile (the railing). DD destroyed her rail. It was like a beaver attacked it. I wanted to make railing covers, but waited too long to do it. So we had the blankets tied on there for awhile, until she found that she could move them and keep gnawing. I finally took the time to make them, and love the way that they turned out. I would love to re-use them if we have another girl, but if we have a boy, I know that deep down I will want to make something more boyish and whatever goes with the theme of the room. I wish we would have gotten more use out of them, and wish that I would have gotten them done and on there, before she turned into a beaver!
