Superbowl Commercials

I really liked the budweisser commercial with the dog and the horses, even though I thought it was a little silly that that was advertising for beer.  But just too cute anyway.

I also liked the run like a girl commercial that seems to be super popular.

I also loved the run like a girl commercial! Probably because of DD . The Fiat commercial was a little obnoxious IMO.

The Nationwide commercial angered and saddened me. I stopped watching at that time. I didn't have a favorite this year. (FTR, I'm not opposed to encouraging safety, but that commercial was poorly timed and inappropriate for the event. I triggered off it, and I really didn't need that. Guess what company won't be receiving my business?)

I liked the one with Liam Neeson and whatever game he was playing. Definitely liked the Like a Girl commercial. The Nationwide one was a little traumatizing, but then I remembered we have a TV that needs fastened and was glad for the reminder. It definitely could have been done differently though.

Overall, it was kind of a serious year for commercials.

I watched the Budweiser puppy commercial the other day on Facebook and thought it was cute.

I had no idea that last night was the Superbowl. So I did not watch any part of it.

I liked several but didn't really think any were great.....hated the Nationwide one! I don't like that they show them early, I think it ruins part of the fun of watching them during the game

I thought a lot of those commercials were sad as hell. I definitely could have cried but I didn't lol

As far as the run like a girl commercial, I thought it was cute but someone telling me that I was running/acting/throwing like a girl was not the biggest hit to my self esteem. The biggest hit to my self esteem would have been the unrealistic ideas of beauty perpetuated by the media. It would have been seeing magazine covers and there was no one on them that looked like me. That should probably be fixed first....

I just looked up the nationwide commercial. I'm all for safety but that commercial sucked. There are way too many triggers there. I hated it.

Ugh, none of the good commercials air here in Canada, which is so annoying!

I actually liked the Nationwide commercial. Is it what people want to see during a happy event? No. But it did what good advertising is meant to do- get you thinking and put their name in your head. It sure made me think twice about the baby proofing in my home. Days later people will still be talking about it, whether it be because they liked it or hated it- and that's the point of a commercial.

(**When I say I liked it I don't mean I enjoyed it; it was sad and upsetting. But I think when it comes to safety shock value can be necessary.)

I did not think the commercials were that good this year. I liked the Avocado ad, Bud ad and the Liam Neison ad. I did not like the Nationwide ad at all.

The Doritos airplane commercial made me LoL..but other than that I was not overly impressed. The Budweiser dog and Like a Girl (Always) commercials brought tears to my eyes. And while I initially thought the Nationwide commercial brought to light an important cause, I think the way the did it and the timing was in poor taste and could have been done in so many other ways.
