I was a huge X-Files fan when I was a teenager and was so excited for the reboot.
It was postponed for half an hour due to football and then I fell asleep halfway through. Apparently I can't make it past 10 PM anymore. Thank God for Hulu.
We didn't get much snow but my office is literally right on the ocean and we got some flooding and our heat is not working. Everyone is just going about their day like this isn't a big deal but I'm not exactly dressed to be working in no heat
I watched a shitton of figure skating on tv, and went on an anniversary date with H on Saturday. We tried a fancy-ish Mexican restaurant and ate lots of seafood. We thought that was appropriate as we went to Mexico for our honeymoon and ate ungodly amounts of ceviche. Ahh, memories

We didn't have any snow up here. But I did wake up to clear skies this morning. It feels so nice to see the sun!
This weekend was DS2's third birthday, so it was nice to spoil him all weekend. And we've all been fighting a nasty cold. I just want one week with no one sick!!
No snow for us! We had a pretty quiet weekend, very boring with mostly just cooking and cleaning.
And I broke my self-imposed rule just now: I told myself I would not buy any adorable baby girl clothes until closer to summer, but Carters had free shipping and I COULD NOT RESIST. Too many cute options!!

It's so hard! The only thing stopping me is my self-imposed spending freeze. Once spring comes, the shopping spree is ON.

No snow here! Friday I spent the majority of the day in a post-ER haze. Lots of sleeping happened. I also made some brownies from a box mix and they were so good. Double fudge y'all. Obviously I had to buy another box for this week.
Didn't do much on Saturday. My mom came over and helped de-smell my house. I swear I smell everything so we vacuumed and cleaned all the furniture and linens. Probably my first real crazy pregnant lady moment. But it did help!!
This was pretty much all that happened this weekend.
Also, I made nachos, ate another bag of chips, made a batch of cookies (ate them all), and made sausage sandwiches. Because when stranded inside all I do is cool and eat.
We ended up with about 20 inches. Lucky for me, my husband and our roommate are incapable of sitting still so they were out shoveling every two hours or so. Playing the pregnant card was soooo nice haha
In other news... my car wouldn't start yesterday or today It sounds like either the battery, starter or a spark plug issue. The battery is brand new, so I'm hoping its just a spark plug. Need to call AAA when I get home. FX its a quick (and cheap) fix!

No snow here in FL, but it was cold as shit (for here.) Saturday morning I did my first 5k, Color Run, which was a blast minus the cold weather part. We picked up a swing & bassinet we bought from a friend & shit got real now that there's baby stuff in the house. Sunday was football, cleaning & forcing myself to stay awake for X-Files!! I regretted that when I woke up at 5am.

No snow here! Friday night we walked around the baby section at Target and tested out strollers, it was a lot of fun Didn't really do anything else the rest of the weekend, because DH worked during the day.
And I hear you on shit getting real icaughtfire. We bought the bedding set for the nursery, it's definitely getting real over here!

No snow here (no new snow, at least- we've got lots on the ground). Took my DS to the indoor play park and went shopping for clothes for him since he's outgrowing his 2T stuff. Slow down buddy, you're not even two yet!
My husband is on early shift this week so I was on my own this morning getting DS up and off to daycare. Right before we were going to put shoes on, he tripped and slammed his forehead into the corner edge of the wall. Poor guy had a huge welt and swelling.
I really struggled with whether or not to keep him home, and we lingered an extra half hour. He was playing happily, so I decided to take him and go to work. I called at lunch and he's doing great, acting normally. Phew! Poor little guy. I wouldn't hesitate to take a day off if he needed me, but I'm also trying to minimize the time I take off because I'm pregnant and will need time for appointments. I hate playing the "should I stay or should I go?" game!
Me too, me too. I'm a little concerned because some people I've spoken to seem to think everything will be fine if they wear repellent. Yes it will help but I've had countless mosquito bites while wearing repellent.
No snow here either. We had a birthday party and I had enough energy to clean the house and that was about it. I slept a ton too. Ahhh, sleep. I forgot how much energy making a human takes.

Who's still digging out of the blizzard? For once, it wasn't Chicago. It was 40 and sunny today which felt almost summery. I feel for all the snowed in families. That's such a pain.
If you're not snow-bound, what did you do this weekend? I worked Friday and Saturday night at the painting studio. I love this part-time job but it does wear me out. I tried Becks NA and really liked it. I did all the dishes and washed all the clothes in my house on Sunday.

No snow in CA - pretty sure the state would shut down if that happened. H and I just got home from a night away near the ocean. All we did was relax and eat so I'm not sure how I'm more exhausted now than when we left!
rungirlrun a night away at the ocean sounds so nice, hope you had a great time! I feel like the same thing happens to me every weekend. All I do is sleep and relax, and I'm always still so tired when Monday rolls around.
