How many weeks? 9 weeks!
Upcoming appointments? Next Tuesday for a viability check
Symptoms? Still queasy all day and tired.
Rants/Raves? Hanging with my mom this week should be good
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? I'm a SAHM. I was a Physical Therapy Assistant before I left to stay at home with DD. I did like my job, just not my boss. I love staying home with DD too but wish I could go back part time to have some adult time
Still the nausea and fatigue, but I think the fog may be lifting. That or I just had a very relaxing weekend.
I love my belly band and can't wait until I pop enough to wear full on maternity pants.
QOTW: I work in corporate communications for a large health care company. I like what I do, my company and coworkers are great, and my job is pretty low stress. But my commute kinda sucks. I'm hoping they let me go part time after maternity leave. Then I would love it.

How many weeks? 10 weeks today
Upcoming appointments? I had a gyn appointment today, everything looks good. NT scan on February 12 and another gyn appointment on February 15th where I think I get transitioned to an OB which makes me sad.
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? I do insurance verification for a hospital. I notify insurance companies when patients are admitted emergently. I like it most days. It sucks today because I've been on hold with every insurance company for at least a half hour.

How many weeks? 10+6
Upcoming appointments? routine OB + pap on Friday, NT scan a week from today (eep! yay!)
Symptoms? nausea (vomitting close to controlled with Diclegis), bloating, gas, sensitive nose, hormonal rage
Rants/Raves? I finally figured out that the reason I am mad at the world is pregnancy hormones. It's took me like 6 weeks to figure this out. I forgot that this happened last time too. I think it went away sometime in second tri...it can disappear any day now.
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? software engineer 20 hours a week, SAHM the rest. I really do love programming and I have a great set-up. SAHM-ing is both wonderful and the most challenging thing I have ever done. I am glad for the chance.
Upcoming appointments? I have one tomorrow with the MWs.
Symptoms? I felt bad this weekend- dry heaving, sore, freezing. Today is a little better.
Rants/Raves?
]GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? I work for a large insurance company creating our new networks for IFP and group products. No I don't love it. It's really interesting, but I'm also technically in contracting and I can't do both- it's too much. I suck at the contracting piece and it is stressful. Supposedly they are hiring for just the network piece soon and I will be applying.
Symptoms? Morning sickness is much better (although I have been queasy today). Still so exhausted and having cramps.
Rants/Raves? I need to get some energy back ASAP. And my toddler didn't nap at all today.
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? I work in medical records part time. I like it because I can work from home and it's interesting to go through all the charts (I do chart analysis), but I would love to stop working.

How many weeks? 12+6
Upcoming appointments? NT today was normal! It was so neat, I had no idea we'd be able to see so detailed already!
Symptoms? nothing really, feeling good
Rants/Raves? called my grandparents today after the scan to tell the news and they were SO excited, made me so happy.
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? I'm an accountant for a manufacturing company. The acct dept is just my boss and myself so I pretty much do it all, and yes I actually really like it!
Upcoming appointments? Fetal Free Cell DNA test tomorrow, NT scan 2/8, MW appt 2/11
Symptoms? MS is improving, but I'm still taking the b6 and unisom, I'm too afraid to stop it yet, but I might give it a go this weekend and see how I feel.
Rants/Raves? nervous about the new job I applied for last week. I guess all the court staff heard I applied and are pulling for me (which is really sweet and hopefully helpful!) I just want them to call for an interview before this pregnancy is totally obvious, so I get the same consideration any candidate would get.
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? I'm a criminal defense attorney with my own private practice. I serve as court appointed counsel (kinda like an independently contracted Public Defender), so the money isn't great, but every once and awhile I really get to help people, so it feels worth it. I absolutely love what I do. The only reason I applied for other position is because it has more room to grow professionally (I hope to run for office one day, and its easier to do it having been a prosecutor), and the hours would be more conducive to having family.

How many weeks? 12 and a half or so
Upcoming appointments? Did 3 hour glucose test today (did not vomit or pass out--woohoo!!). Next scheduled is 2/29
Symptoms? I keep having a couple days where I'm feeling better, and then back to feeling queasy and tired. But my energy is generally a bit better than its been, (I.e. I can do more than fold a single basket of laundry before being wiped out for the day), so that's nice.
Rants/Raves? None come to mind
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? I'm a SAHM & I really enjoy it and know I'm so lucky to have that choice. I do love it most of the time. Prior to that, I taught special ed (mostly kids on the autism spectrum), and loved the "teaching the kids" part.

How many weeks? 11 weeks
Upcoming appointments? 01/27 for u/s and possible genetic testing (still undecided, I'll probably decide on the fly)
Symptoms? Nausea still going strong, but it's better if I eat all day. Tired a lot. My boobs are giant (seriously didn't need to be bigger, but I'm sure they'll just keep going) and very sore.
Rants/Raves? I'm so excited to be almost done with my meds! I have less than a week left and I cannot tell you how awesome it will be to not get a shot in my ass and stop sticking stuff up my vag 3x a day.
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? I'm a Licensed Mental Health Clinician for an early intervention program. I do developmental evaluations and provide therapy for children birth-three who've had a substantiated case of abuse/neglect. I seriously love my job, but some days are very hard.

How many weeks? 9w4d
Upcoming appointments? First MFM appt including u/s on Wednesday
Symptoms? The fatigue has been rough this week but otherwise feeling decent.
Rants/Raves? I agree with remylove1011 I'm excited to be done with my progesterone and metformin after this week!
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? I'm a nurse, which I like. I was studying to be a midwife, which I think I would love, but had to quit school once I got pregnant. I hope I really do go back and achieve this dream in a few years.

remylove1011 After my undergrad, your job would've been my dream job. I think now, though, I'd have had a really tough time handling it emotionally. I'm glad there are people such as yourself who can do that tough, important work!
Upcoming appointments? Our last scan at the re before graduating!
Symptoms? My left nipple has been on fire all day!! I got sick for the first time over the weekend and some queeziness but all in all I've been feeling really good
Rants/Raves? None that I can think of
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it?[/quote] I sahm now and like it most days. I almost went back pt but we decided to try for #2 and didn't want to have to leave a caseload of clients if we did conceive. I have my masters in counseling and passed my licensing exam I just need to fulfill my hours. It hurts on the days we pay my student loan bill and I miss working with my families but know I'll be back one day and can't get this days back with them

How many weeks? 12 tomorrow!
Upcoming appointments? Not till the 10th
Symptoms? Mostly gone aside from the exhaustion
Rants/Raves? None really
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? I'm an RN. I have 3 part time jobs and I'm wrapping up my masters in nursing education in time for this baby. I do love it. There is a lot of flexibility and I'm always learning. My newest role is teaching a clinical for nursing students. I really enjoy it, but very challenging.

How many weeks? 9+4
Upcoming appointments? I FINALLY have my first appointment on Thursday! I feel like everyone else has had multiple appointments already!
Symptoms? I'm pretty close to saying I feel back to myself. I just feel like I get painfully bloated everytime I eat more than just a teeny amount. Which sucks because I have no will power.
Rants/Raves? Nothing today.
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? I'm a mortgage loan officer. I like it. Do I love it? Not sure, that's a strong word.
remylove1011 After my undergrad, your job would've been my dream job. I think now, though, I'd have had a really tough time handling it emotionally. I'm glad there are people such as yourself who can do that tough, important work!
Aww, thank you. I think part of it is a personality thing. I'm able to compartmentalize so I don't take their stuff home. Dealing with IF made it a very tough job to work in seeing the terrible things that happen to children. Some days are harder than others and we do lots of processing through the more difficult cases. Overall it is great though. I basically get to see adorable little kids all day!
Me (30) MH (32) Dx: MFI (low all the things) M. 10/11. TTC Since 01/14 IUI#1-3(Letrozole + Trigger) = BFN Second Opinion. Changed RE's. IVF 09/15 Long Lupron 12R/9M/8F, Transferred 1=BFN. 4 frosties. FET #1 12/15 Transferred 1 (3 still on ice)
Symptoms? Well, I'm currently "briskly" drinking my metamucil, so what does that tell us? (Poop, please!) Also, still the freakishly sensitive gag reflex, the occasional bout of exhausted and the tummy aches from both eating and not eating. Overall, I'd say I'm in pretty solid shape for 1st trimester.
Rants/Raves? We got our Verify screening results back today, as I posted in the Monday randoms! Baby has all the chromosomes and none of the extras! And it's a boy! As an all-female household, we are slowly getting used to the idea of having a dude in the house. Tonight I was like "We have to decide if we want to circumcise!" and Sweetie almost fell over. We're gonna talk about it later. It sounds immature, but we don't have a lot of penis-experience, between the two of us. We'll get over it. Tell me how wonderful little boys are?
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? I am a special education teacher. I work with high school-age students with significant physical and cognitive disabilities, though I have also worked with kiddos with social/emotional disabilities. I love it almost every day. I come home with great stories, and pretty happy most of the time. I'm also exhausted when I get home. I love my students. I love many of the families I work with. I love my co-workers. I have an amazing job. I do a lot of paperwork too, but sadly, I like that part too, most of the time. I don't know if I'll love it forever or if I'll burn out in a few years... but right now it's a wonderful job for me.

esquette Obviously all little boys are different, but mine is the snuggliest little mama's boy. I was nervous about a boy after having a daughter, but he's just great. You'll be good :-)
Upcoming appointments?NT scan Feb 9th, if I dont g back for bleeding before then.
Symptoms? tired, nauseous, headaches, belly feels heavy
Rants/Raves? Well I am sure most of yo read my aw post. Well after the day of bed rest I put in the progesterone just to start bleeding again a our later. Needless to say I went to the dr. This am. Babies are still fine, one even waved at me! Dr said I could do modified bed rest for the time being. So herei will be laying around as usual. She said I could cook and what not but mostly laying. Fun, fun. So much for our trip to the ILs this weekend for FILs birthday! I asked and she thougt I should stay closer to home. But she was awsome and said whenever I felt anxious I could come in! And more good news is hat my thyroid is a fantastic number at just over 1! One last thing to worry about at least.
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? Well right now I dont work. I had jst started looking when I got pregnant, and well bed rest will not get me hired. I live in germany so I was just looking for a teaching englsh job or tutoring or somthing. I went to college for child and youth worker and mostly worked as a educational assistant to any child that needed help. I loved that job, but I cannot do that here, I would haveto redo the course and my German would have to be much, much better. Its ok, but not good enough.

Congratulations!!! Me and my wife were the same way after learning DS was a boy. He's the most amazing, loving little guy. DW thought she'd be awkward with diaper changes but from the first one she was a champ and now we don't even think twice!
Upcoming appointments? NT scan yesterday, went awesome! Next appt is in 4 weeks
Symptoms? Still nauseated, but less than it was. Have the nose of a bloodhound. Sore boobs. My face is totally broken out, which happened with ds too around this time. Also feeling some stretching/pulling of everything, and my bloat belly is getting obvious.
Rants/Raves? DH told me that I looked completely different after our appt yesterday. I haven't really been able to enjoy this pregnancy as much with the pgal brain, but now that weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I can't stop smiling.
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? I work part time as the director of Christian Education at our church, and the rest of the time I stay at home with ds. I absolutely love what I do.
Rants/Raves? So tired. Raves for my husband who has picked up so much slack at home.
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? I work in clinical trial start up. Basically, I get the trials up and running for pharma companies. Many big pharma companies actually contract out the trial process of drug development. I love it most days. It's part legal, science, and writing. I get to work with a lot of different people and am never bored. However, it can be very stressful.
Upcoming appointments? February 2nd I see a specialist to try to avoid pre e again and to help with my insulin resistance February 3rd follow up on baby a bleed praying that it has gotten a bit better
Symptoms? Having a hard time eating lately. Nothing really tastes good
Rants/Raves? I wish I had a follow up this week I'm freaked out about the bleed and praying The babies keep growing!!
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? I work in HR it has it's good days and bad

Congrats! Little boys are the best! They are just such whirlwinds and tornadoes of hilariousness and destruction. My son is straight out obsessed with me and I just love him. They kiss and hug and snuggle and then get back at it.
Just a funny story but we are trying to prepare him for the baby and so we keep telling him the baby is in mommy's belly, so the other day he just walked right up to my stomach and yelled BABY! like he was saying hi to his little brother.

How many weeks? 12+6
Upcoming appointments? Had the NT scan yesterday at the specialist and the follow upw ith my OB next week.
Symptoms? Not to many this week. Bigger boobs and crazy vivid dreams. Insomnia. I also want ALL the peanut butter
Rants/Raves? My appointment was ridiculous yesterday. We were there for over an hour and a half for about 40 minutes of not actual waiting. Poor DS started losing it in the end. I'm glad everything was good with the baby but it was just really bad service and I was super late for work.
GTKY: What is your occupation? Do you love it? I work for a finance company. I don't think it's my dream job by any means (which is like lounge singer or cruise director), but the benefits are really good and I like the people I work with.
Upcoming appointments? routine OB + pap on Friday, NT scan a week from today (eep! yay!)
Symptoms? nausea (vomitting close to controlled with Diclegis), bloating, gas, sensitive nose, hormonal rage

That is awesome you can work part time as a software engineer, everyone I know who has tried that in this field has found its really hard (I think maybe because their assignment allocations/expectations weren't getting adjusted as much as they should have been)
