Hi everyone,
I'm 6 weeks along with my third child. I have a 3 YO son and an almost 15 month old son. DH owns his own business, and I'm an accountant, and I own a small 24 hour gym.
After 3 years of infertility on my side (amenorrhea, anovulation), my husband discovered a lump on his testicle. He had his testicle removed, and they discovered he had a very rare form of non-seminoma testicular cancer. A major surgery to remove associated lymph nodes, and he was declared in remission. 8 months later, we found we were expecting our first child, and when he was 13 months old we discovered I was pregnant with my second. I'd say I was a little surprised because I hadn't regained my cycles yet from breastfeeding, however, we certainly weren't preventing, and I know how babies are made, so it's not like it was shocking. I think I was preparing myself for it to take a while because of our history. Fast forward to now, and I had two regular periods since regaining my cycles, and last cycle was the first cycle we actually charted and timed intercourse, and we caught the egg on the first try. As a testament to how much infertility can F with your mind, I was still surprised to find we were pregnant.
So, that's my story. I'm a little bit of a crunchy mama, but by no means dogmatic, it's just what works for our family. I'm happy to be here, and happy to get to know all of you!
