A ticket to the next round! (BFP Mentioned)

Hey all! I am sorry I have been MIA there has been a lot going on! I needed to wait for C to come home so I could spill the beans but we got a BFP! This was our 1st IUI for TTC#2 and my first BFP. I am still in shock and very cautious but it feels good so far. First beta was 16dpIUI and the second beta was 557. I will go again monday for my final beta and then will do at least one ultrasound with the RE. 

This feels so weird and we almost didn't try this time. After I got the news about the low ovarian reserve we were worried that maybe IVF would be our best bet. We literally flipped a coin and decided to give it a "trial run". We are so excited and we feel so thankful and so blessed to be on this journey. I can't believe we will have 2 under 2!!!!

2u2 is so scary to us but I know it's doable. We have our nieces a lot and they are 3 and 5 months so between H being 13 months and the other 2, we get our fair experience of the lots of munchkins close in age. I know it will be different when the new little one is with us but TTC is such a tricky road.

It took us 10 IUIs to get Hayden and a year and a 1/2 with a break in there for sanity. We thought it would take us equally as long or longer with this one. TTC is such a trippy thing. I feel like I would hear "it only takes one time" but never really believed it.

I am a firm believer that everything happens a certain way for a reason. H was meant to be just as she is when she came to you, and so will be this little one! So incredibly amazing! I am just sooooo thrilled for you!

As for 2u2, we're only 5 days into it, but so far it is doable and not as scary as we thought. Im not going to lie, it's hard work and I know it will get harder for us in the coming weeks and months, but 5 days in it already feels worth it. We would definitely do it again (and may very well be the insane people that go for 3 under 4).

Thanks, KH. I used to want to strangle people when they would say that but I have to say that looking at H now and being at the beginning of this new journey it is so so true. While there are definitely things that do not have a purpose or feel senseless and unimaginable everything comes in its own time!

I don't know if we'll be nutty enough for 3u4 but who knows...we want our kids close in age...

I couldn't agree with you more. I also used to feel that way about people saying everything happened for a reason. There can be a lot of seemingly senseless loss and pain in this world, and I personally have experienced a decent helping of it in the last year. It is hard to find perspective and move beyond the things that hurt and dont make sense. With that said, for me personally, finding a way to believe that each step in life's journey brings you closer to where you are meant to be is a coping mechanism that I have found comfort in. At any rate, all of that aside, I look at my kids and just couldn't imagine it any other way. For me, the journey that got me here (TTC related and not) was worth every step and helped me to better appreciate what I have.

And we also want our kids close in age and would like to be done having kids before I am 35, so we are the crazy people who plan to pop out a kiddo every 18-24 months until we feel our family is complete

We got our final beta back yesterday. We are at 2900. Ultrasound will be next Thursday...this is starting to feel really real!

firstcomeslove2013, similar thing happened with us. It took us almost 2 years and a ridiculous number of attempts to get R. So we figured we better get on kid #2 ASAP. I got pregnant my first try. We were just as shocked at that as we were when my wife got pregnant on try #16. I think it took my about 20 weeks till the news sunk in.

I'm so happy that you got pregnant with your dx. My wife has the same dx and hence #16 tries.
