Does anyone have the Graco MySize 65 car seat? MIL is buying our car seats and she's totally okay with buying two 4Evers, but I'm not ok with her spending that much. Car seats for the littles has a great review on the MySize, I just am looking for personal reviews.
I can't decide between two MySizes or 1 MySize and 1 4Ever basically.
We have the graco contender for DHs truck. I am pleased with it so far. Mal likes it too! Super easy to install.
We have a crawler over here! FINALLY! Which I only say because home dude has been pushing himself up yo hands and knees and rocking for almost 2 months, it was time
did the rocking back and forth affect sleep for long? We are at thag point right now and he is refusing to sleep because he just wants to do that. Argh. I just looked at ds1 journal and he was rocking back and forth for a month before he even attempted to crawl. I don't think I can do a month of this!
Eta: and yay for your LO!
He has never been a great sleeper but it certainly didnt help matters. He would be on his back, roll over and automatically get up and rock even though he was still half asleep and so tired and would get himself so upset - good times I will say that it did chill out after a few weeks

Anyone else's LO still sleeping on their back? Oscar doesn't move a muscle from where I put him down. It's weird because he will roll onto his belly other times (mostly to get a toy) but has NEVER done it in his crib.
I thoroughly enjoyed my toasted marshmallow almond milk steamer and caramel apple oatmeal cookie. Now LO is pulling my hair and being a clinger.
I ran into a friend from the school I worked at three years ago and she's shocked I don't have a teaching job yet. She pointed out, though, that she took time off to be with her kids and it was worth it to her, even though they didn't have money for things. H and I talked last night about how I'm going to apply for teaching contract jobs but not stress if I don't get one and he said he'd be okay if I wanted to stay home until she's in school. I'm kind of surprised how much I'm okay with that thought.

Day 14 of "quarantine.." Dropped off healthy big kids to play at the parents' farm. Got a grande chai on my way home because...just because. Hanging out, playing with T, cleaning a little, tcf-ing, ordering seeds, having a smoothie for lunch (sore throat), watching HP3. Got out a giant pile of 12 mo clothes for T while he naps.

Thor usually only moves when he's angry (ie, crying for more than a couple minutes). Otherwise, he's a lump.
LO just got her passport photos. This photo just kills me. It also cracks me up that this will be good for 6 years! :snip:
Cute! We got O's pic done at Blacks when he was about 6 weeks old & the girl taking the pic (who was prob no more than 18 & clearly never done infant pics) kept asking us if we could a) get him to hold his head up and b) look straight at the camera
Lol no. We were ROFL while the poor girl was struggling to work out how she was going to get a passport pic of an infant without H's arm being in the shot.
That story made me giggle C got his done around 2 months and they had un lay him on a white sheet on the table and took the picture standing over him

Baby starts to roll to her side before we even put her down

That drink and cookie sound amazing! I'm now attempting to make Carmel Apple Cider to make something tasty!

Well, I fail today. Put J on my back again because he screams anytime I put him down. When I went to take him off, he thought it was a great idea to lean backwards. Smacked his head on our footboard, then fell on the ground, about a 3.5 foot fall. He finally stopped crying, I havent. Am I supposed to take him to the er? Freaking out and the Dr hasn't called me back yet...

Mine. This child is obsessed with being on the move, but for her that means walking, so she needs help. She is not interested in rolling or crawling. She can roll, just prefers not to. She's a mixture of crazily active and completely sedentary. She always sleeps on her back.
I know a little boy a couple of weeks older than L who sits well but has no interest in rolling, standing or crawling. And another a week younger who rolls from one end of the room to the other. I know it's been said before, but everyone is different and there's a huge range of development that is completely within the normal range. It's hard though, especially for us FTMs.

Oh dear, poor both of you! How far is it to A&E? Distance would make a difference for me. I'm sure he's fine but you must feel so awful. Please keep us updated if you can.
musicfrk2002 you poor thing, ditto everyone else's questions. Even if he's fine, if it makes you feel better by taking him in you should.
FWIW, I wasn't going to share this out of pure embarrassment, but to stand by you on fails today my son ended up drinking half his bottle of Childrens advil today when I apparently failed and left it on the cupboard after giving him a dose. A frantic call to my dr who directed me to poison control assured me the amount he had was not enough for harm but the way I felt was the absolute worst, I can't believe I did that. I actually have hives on me now I'm pretty sure from panicking because I've never gotten hives before. Probably the stupidest I've ever felt, even when I could tell this was a routine call for the lady at poison control . (And of course he's still his normal happy self-it's been quite a few hours now)
Shit happens. It's the worst, I feel you. Try not to beat yourself up. I hope your baby is ok.

musicfrk2002 and tiffbot sorry guys had rough days! That is so scary! I'm sure both kids will be just fine! Positive vibes coming to you!!
carolyngrace is it you who gets pissed at your H all the time for playing video games? I'm going through that hardcore right now. We are leaving tomorrow for NOVA to visit his family and I'm trying to do laundry and pack for all 3 of us and the baby is screaming wanting to be held. I'm so annoyed. I'm trying to hold a baby and sort through clothes.

pghtruelove, Yup that's me! We have a general agreement of no video games before DB is in bed. We talked about that immediately when I got pregnant because I knew it would be an issue. Our problem now is he stays up until 3am playing sometimes and then wants to be crabby or sleep the next day. It's an ongoing issue, but he pretty much knows he's expected to be on duty when DB is awake, so that's something! Good luck with your DH, sounds like you may need to go be direct and get some help!
michyme123 I was feeling so awful I had to talk to my mom because she always has the right thing to say, so I texted her what happened and she said 'oh yes, that's a terrible feeling. I recall you feeding your sister fluoride pills once" whoops! But it totally made me feel better as a mom lol.

carolyngrace he is normally pretty good for staying off during the day but this weekend is extra points for something on his game and today was his only day to play so I said he could, as long as baby was okay! He finally got off because he head butted me so hard I was bleeding from my mouth.

I have the 70 (basically the 65 since they don't do 70 anymore) for DS and I really like it. Easy to install and seems comfortable. We bought 2 (one for each car). Will move the one from DHs. Are to my van when we switch LO.

Ouch!
musicfrk2002 hopefully he's fine. So sorry that happened, scary I'm sure!
tiffbot I've had to call poison control for DS eating shoe polish and drinking a bottle of baby soap. I'm glad to know it's NBD about the accidental overdose. I always worry about giving too much a day usually only give half a dose

erbear while I was pregnant I had no desire to be a SAHM, now that A is here DH and I have decided to do whatever we need to do to let me stay home. It means uprooting our entire lives but I know it will be worth it.

Omg, kids are so weird! Like Advil kind of tastes like candy, I get it-but why would he keep drinking soap and shoe polish?!! Sorry, that would have been such a scary feeling too!

I realized I should have clarified the baby soap was a travel size bottle. The show polish was almost like a gel consistency? I can't remember exactly how old he was at the time (maybe 16 months? it was before LO was born so he was definitely under 22 months) I just remember walking into the kitchen and trying to figure out what he had and where he got it from (DH had it sitting on the kitchen counter).
H heard sirens earlier this afternoon while he was in the yard, and just now thought to Google it. I wish he hadn't. A 10 year old got hit by a car a few blocks away.
It really is. I don't know if I just notice these types of news stories more now, but it seems like I'm constantly reading about awful things happening to kids. Now I'm going to go snuggle my sweet baby.
